Inspired by INCREDIBLE LEGO BUILDS! Brickworld Chicago Day 1 VLOG

In this VLOG I head out to Brickworld Chicago! But first I have to take care of some head maintenance (lol) and say goodbye to the family. Once that's taken care of I endure a bizarre day of traveling but eventually end up at checking out some amazing builds at Brickworld. Specifically, I check out a fully custom zoo, a huge roller coaster, some interesting cities, and much more - I am very inspired to say the least, and am very excited for the rest of Brickworld!

At the zoo, I loved mosaics on the walkways! How fun to see all the creations!

I like the idea of one stud higher mills played to give the city more depth and realism. I think that would work well with the diner so the skate park looks lower set as skate parks usually are. The animal images in the tile work of the zoo are spectacular and inspiring. Maybe you can intergrade something like that into your city and make it look like kids did chalk drawings or graffiti... This is a great place to gather inspiration

I also made it to Portillas & had the chocolate cake shake & ribs, Owen had a Dog & the lemon cake shake. 10:27 Cool, you captured my GBC Modules. Ski Hill, Zig Zag (Peanut Butter - cuz it Jams so much), Chainsaw, & the Ball Counter. I believe that Panda display had 27 different animals hidden away.

That sounds like you went through a JOURNEY to get to Chicago! Hopefully your flights home were less eventful. It was great having dinner and sharing a sake with you! I noticed throughout your vlog you touched a few MOCs out in the convention hall without the builder around. That's a big no-no! It's not something I would do in front of the builder of the MOC (consent, I would definitely ask first if I was curious), so I would hold behavior without them around as well. I would hate to see someone touching my MOC without asking me first. You also run the danger of knocking something over accidentally which I did see happen on your video.

Genuinely curious. I get why re-sellers come to these events and rent a booth, but what does someone who rents a booth ONLY to display sets get out of it? Is it for networking and growing their Lego content creator channel, or is there another benefit to it? I saw a Jim @ Wolf of Bricks video where he gave a tour of a pretty full event, so he must have filmed well after you. It’s funny, the only other creator that he mentioned by name was you, and he was uncertain if he was in your display area, but he said he was close to it. I’d love to see a detailed review of the Super Ninjago City that is displayed there somewhere now. Jim wasn’t as “hands on” and “up close” as you were with the camera and the fingers. Well done showcasing that Zoo and double MILS setup.
