When you pulled the donut queen squishy out I was so confused on how you got it, but when I saw you made all of them, I was bewildered. They look exactly like the real things to the point I can’t tell the difference!

@@MelodyHayes We started properly in 2020 ... everyday we wanted to do something fun and creative, so we re-watched all the Moriah episodes and began re-creating some of her projects (squishies, pumpkins, clay figures, art things to do when bored, etc.) ... she was a huge inspiration to us 🥰 Now we're excited to use the skills we've learned from her (and other amazing creators) to do the stuff we love: doll customizations, squishy makeovers, thriftstore toy makeovers... we have so many projects planned (my house looks like a giant toy store, except all the toys are kinda old and broken and ready for a new lease of life, lol!) 😂😂😂

I really appreciate it! 🥰 Honestly, when I made this last year I was really struggling with the video editing software, camera, sound levels and general anxiety of documenting my first art project (plus I had just submitted my PhD for review and was feeling a little overwhelmed)... I still have a lot to improve but am definitely happier with the latest doll custom (making Abigail from Stardew Valley)... plus having the kiddos join in has genuinely helped a lot because now it's a fun activity we can do together and I can just be myself ☺

I LOVE this idea!!! 🥰🥰🥰 I actually purchased a doll onesie pattern a while back which I thought I could modify to make into the Pickle pajamas (my kiddos each had one when they were younger!)... Moriah has so many AMAZING designs that could be turned into dolls... one (or four!) I'll be working on over the winter vacation is inspired by some of her humanoid characters from "Create this Book"... plus I have the perfect doll base for the "Face of Failure" (I thought that one might be fun!) ☺

The doll came out amazing and I love the extra canonically unrelated accessories such as nilla the pastel Mickey mouse wand and the rest of the additional super cute details such as using the Mickey Mouse sprinkles to tie in with the wand and the super creative donut Mary janes plus seeing the necklaces you made has inspired me to branch out a little more into beaded bracelets over all great job

I LOVED your video. I love doll repaints, I love mariah and you combine them both beautifully! This was so fun to watch. ( I LOVED your squishy shelf! It was really like magic until you explained. I was like: GASP "HOWED SHE GET THAT?!?!?!" it was a lovely and happy touch.) However on a technical level, I have one little sugestion? I would sugest a diferent music chioce during the segments without a vioce over? Something about the music in the sped up portions is really grading on me and my friends ears. I love listening to what you have to say but when I turn the video down to aviod the music, I can't hear you anymore. But I'd love to still see more of your content. ❤❤❤❤❤

How did you get the dress?

Good question! ☺ Basically, I found a pattern for a generic Disney doll dress and modified it... I cut out the pieces of fabric from an old but unused white silk pillowcase and dyed them using Rit Dye (I tried to create an ombre effect on the skirt, but looking back I made it a little too pink all over)... then I sewed it (a nightmare because it was my first time using a sewing machine! 😂)... added some gold iron-on trim to make the belt and cuffs of the sleeves... and finally sewed on each bugle bead by hand. It took a while to do... but I was pretty happy with the result. ☺ Looking back I wish I'd filmed the process but when I made it I was unsure I was ever going to make a video... it was only my kiddos who convinced me to share the project! 🥰

We're really glad you like her 🥰 Re: your question... we basically decided to learn how to paint squishies during 2020 and used Moriah's videos as tutorials because we had quite a few of the same squishies (plus whenever we tried to paint our own, they were always a huge fail lol!). We learned SO MUCH from Moriah (how to fix rips, how to mix the correct ratio of slick and matte fabric paint, etc.) and have now started painting our own squishy designs (in-between customizing dolls)... but we still like to display our own recreations of Moriah's designs in our art room at home because they mean a lot to us. Hope that makes sense ☺

really nice and interesting video! Tho the music inbetween, in comparison to the volume of your voice was too loud, I constantly needed to turn the volume down for the music but up in order to understand what you were saying. Not as an insult, just a tip :) I will leave a like and subscribe :)

Thank you so much... we're really glad you like her! 🥰 Yeah, I 100% agree the sound levels are all wrong ... unfortunately this was my first time using editing software and I had no idea what I was doing (this is quite an old video) 😕 ... I've been practicing since then and I think I'm getting the hang of it now (there's so much to learn... but at least my kiddos are now helping me! 🥰)

That music is REALLY loud especially compared to your voice! I have to keep switching between 20 and 70 percent volume to understand what you are saying without hurting my ears.
