Most awesome! I respect and admire your good old-fashioned, hardworking, American entrepreneurial spirit. Will you be making them in 8 and 10 inch models? Six inch models, while perfect for backpackers, might be a bit small for regular campers. Now, take my money!

Great news! One huge problem with Etsy is they dont do timely shop notifications. I have sellers I watch and it can be 2-3 days before I get a notification of new items, and some I don't ever get notifications from. 😔

How many times he's said check his etsy shop as soon as these videos drop, because things go quick. That they do. And yet there's so many comments saying they are not there....yeah because they sold out that fast. Give this devil credit. Dude hand makes them and puts out what he can. Other gear can and has gone just as fast. Cpl Kelly, keep up the great work. I still love your content. Lcpl ski

Its awesome that you are producing versatile, durable and lightweight cooking gear that's perfect for backpacking when none of the major brands have even considered it because they are obsessed with the freeze dried options and limiting their capabilities to boiling water. I worked at REI and I wanted desperately to see this kind of stuff hit out shelves but to no avail. Your videos inspired me to change the way I eat when I camp and I definitely will try to grab one of these from your store to replace the heavier skillet I already pack! Semper fi

Another way to preseason a skillet is to wipe it down with canola or vegetable oil, place it in an oven at 170 degrees for about 30 minutes. Remove, allow to cool, wipe away the excess and store for next use.

Very nice job on the handmade cooking vessels. I'm getting on in years and skillet and hatchet poor, or I'd buy these utensils. I'd recommend that a young person starting out buy the quality tools such as offered here and have good camping tools that will last until you're old as me and beyond as heirlooms to pass along

Well, I know you’ll show us eventually, but it seems you have Acquired a stamping press. And probably an induction spot welder. Nice. I don’t see any branding on the skillets. Maybe it was just prototypes. Back in my welding day we had individual ‘ welder ID marks’, that we would hammer next to our certified welds. I’m sure you could get your logo reproduced in the same way. Also, this micro manufacturing gig, is something that your son could easily handle, now that you’ve laid the groundwork with the necessary equipment and supply chain. Bravo.

#1. For the round handle, If you made it with a cut, (think pencil sharpener), It may be easier for people to add a handle in the woods. #2. Not all woods have nice straight wood of the right size (national park legal issues). IF it would fit either a shovel handle or ... that may help people who can't source the wood handle in the woods every time they go out. #3. Adding a place for a screw, may help make the handle more permanent OR if the fitment is bad, have the handle stay put when needed. #4. I am not finding the pans for sale. A direct link may help. BTW, Yes, I like what I am seeing, but think it needs to be refied just a little to be an item that is exceptional..

find his etsy shop. and they do go fast, which is why you probably didn't see it. For 1 thru 3...improvise, adapt and over come. if its a national park issue, easy to create your own before hitting the park or parks.

Not that that I Don’t like lodge cast iron cause i do. I tore all of the tendons in both shoulders beyond repair. I love cooking and i have been doing it since i was 12. Carbon steel pans are the same as cast iron but lighter. Both are great!
