Dear Maria, love,love,love your idea of taco bowls! I use alot of the same ingredients for our taco bowls. Yes corn and rice in the taco bowls is a must for us. I also sub ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef. We also use salsa and guacamole on top. For cheese we use vegan cheese for our lactose intolerance. Love garlic&onion in many of our meals! Love your inspirational ideas! Thanks for your video. Taco bowls for us is so versatile!sometimes we place salad greens under the rice,corn,ground turkey with crushed tortilla chips on top as garnish with shredded cheese! Yum!

Here's A Great Recipe GOULASH 1lb ground 3 cloves minced garlic 1 small onion, diced 1 1/2 cups beef broth 1 (8oz) can of tomato sauce 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes 2 tsp Italian seasoning 1.5 tsp Adobo seasoning 2 bay leaves 1/2 tsp seasoned salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 cup elbow macaroni 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella 1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar In a large pan, brown your ground meat in a skillet over medium-high heat until halfway cooked. Add garlic & onions & cook until meat is fully cooked. Add broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, and seasoned salt, pepper, and adobo seasoning. Mix well. Lower heat to medium-low and cover& let simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the elbow macaroni, stir well. Cover and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until pasta is cooked. Once cooked, remove the bay leaves. Add the cheddar cheese and mix until melted. Add mozzarella right before serving This recipe is Kid-Friendly and Parents will enjoy it too!!! I do the recipe to the T but I crush Ritz Crackers on top for an extra crunch :) :) It is from Taylor Elmore from KZbin .

Anaheim chillie is a good substitute for a none hot chili. It is the flavor of green chilies. There is another green chili that looks like an Anaheim chili thats spicey hot. Pablano chili peppers are a medium hot substitute for jalapenos.

Another savings trick for cheese is to buy a sharper cheese and then just use less.

As far as your money saving tips. I've noticed stores are keeping the price the same or saying they lowered the price, but they are really lowering the amount of product in the package.

We made burritos bowls last Saturday and i also grabbed small.sour cream.even tho i wanted the bigger one coz the prices were so close! Aslo i always shred my own cheese . I don't like the one that is already shredded coz i never melts the same way and it's covered with something and the taste is nahhh

This is a stupid question but can you pre shred a bunch of cheese to use later or do you have to use it up right after shredding? Does cheese you shred at home go bad faster? (I read somewhere that it does??) This has always been my hindrance to not shredding my own cheese
@pmc4218 Жыл бұрын
Shredding your own cheese doesn't have the added sawdust or whatever else they put in there.
@hollyfink6168 Жыл бұрын
Some days, I just don’t feel it. Plus, my husband thinks if it’s a bar of cheese he can just eat it, non stop. Then when I go to use it, it’s gone. Totally agree with you.

My husband does that too.(I feel your pain.) I have to hide any cheese I need for recipes. 😅

@@hollyfink6168 I've used preshredded also when its just too much for my arthritis . No shame. Just saying shredding your own is best

The larger size of dairy products isn't always the best choice for me. It will go bad before I use it. I never put parsley in anything. To me it has no taste, so why?
