@@MrAlvarez23 well said brother. I couldn’t agree more. I’m a 80,s baby so u know I love and respect MJ but Bron bron is like Magic with a more dominate scoring ability and athletic like a Dominique Wilkins . Just a different breed. Kobe’s game and mentality was the most similar to MJ. I got love for all of them but LeBron is my fav too.

@@swelly84 why cant everyone just like players for how they play? Some people just bash and hate on players for no apparent reason...i know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the hate is just unwanted. Every player is unique in their own style of play and i admire these greats because they wont come often.

@@love6ic202 It's under thought and overly naive jump-to statements like yours which aren't properly contextualized the way they should be, which make you part of the problem in today's sports culture, and why I can't watch shows like ESPN and several others that make unsubstantiate & naive declarations without properly telling the whole story. Should be ashamed of yourself.

Notable mentions include the entire NBA Official Top Ten list all choose Kobe over Lebron, except Lebron himself of course. I originally also listed nearly 50 of the NBA's Official 75 Greatest List outside of the NBA Official Top Ten list who also irrefutably agree, and choose Kobe over Lebron, it's very well documented, but I ultimately cut the long list from this message to save you from essentially reading a book.
@SincereSentinel
@SincereSentinel Жыл бұрын
@@love6ic202 Kobe was not your favorite player. I used that same unauthentic debate tactic as a child to sound reasonable, therein by getting more people susceptible to being convinced of my point and coming over to my side. 11 year old me- "Jordan was my favorite player, but look at what Kobe is doing out there, like come on...." reverse psychology 101. Child's play, that only works on naive and weak minded individuals who can't even decide what they want for dinner, whilst only having eggs and a jar full of worm bait in their fridge during a famine. Kobe was elite on Both ends of the floor. His ball anticipation was among the best that the NBA backcourt has ever seen. He wanted it as bad as anyone on Both ends of the floor. He relished 1 on 1 matchups on the defensive end as much as offensively, and in a parallel yet similarly close second life, if you actually watched his career that time around for a change, it would be self evident, and we wouldn't even be having this discussion to begin with. Lebron sacrificed his overall defensive potential/two way game for his offensive prowess, and it's been entirely noticeable for well over a decade now. Kobe viewed both ends of the floor as one in the same, giving equal effort at all times. Stats/Usage Rate etc. can easily be calculated, skewed, and butchered to fit any kind of narrative deemed beneficial to the one professing it. I'd suggest you go back and watch some tape of Kobe. Like actually watch. He was dominant at his position on both ends of the floor and was mesmerized by knowing where the ball was and would be at all times, whereas Lebron has clearly been more of a shade/blend standard defender by-in-large and especially by NBA standards, for the majority of his career. If Kobe had put defense to the wayside as often and visibly as Lebron had and has, it's safe to say that Kobe would have had several thousand more points, without even including the Achilles injury that affectively robbed him of his elite athleticism, body contortion, hang time, and first step explosiveness offensively and defensively as well. Kobe was unfairly looked down upon by Dell Harris and many other senior aged organizational heads for several years upon arriving in the league, due to bias of him being a confident young kid that they didn't feel deserved the praise until he put his time in on the bench first for several seasons. Those same people have all since publicly admitted regret for that, and also conveyed the same truth that his individual stats would be much higher had they allowed him to showcase his abilities on a consistent basis earlier in his career, in the form of minutes played per game, and usage rate/offensive schemes that could have been used to his, and the teams benefit, when allowed to play, which was sporadic to say the least during that timeframe. He was affectively robbed of at least two full seasons and part of a lockout season also, where his stats could have garnered him several thousand more points and accolades. Kobe was a much better basketball player than Lebron overall. His skill and will only have been rivaled and or surpassed by Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and the majority of the other NBA honored/titled 75 'Greatest of All Time' group choose Kobe over Lebron to this day. If Kobe was actually your favorite player and you truly watched his entire career you would have rationally taken all of those things into account before making cheap blanket statements without substance or explanation to get to the end point of 'Lebron is going to be number one in All Time Points so that makes him better' without proper context behind it, or 'Kobe only is better by Ring count' as if it was all that simple. Every book has a story. Not just a cover and a foreword. And you should be mature enough to realize the layers of context that are deserved to be properly vocalized and fairly recognized when discussing the greatest players of all-time.
