I’m so enjoying this. Her ethics expresses in this match mine and honestly that the biggest selling point. I will check out the buying options for BBIPOC folks (thank you). Also thanks for the info on how folks have such low Kickstarter goals. I couldn’t understand how those goals would print a deck.

Perhaps using BBIPOC (Black. Brown, Indigenous People of Colour would feel better for you. It’s our term,. It should be a bit uncomfortable though, it needs to be.

For me it isn’t about my discomfort just about using the term people of colour that doesn’t include white- which is a colour. White seems to be a default again when this term is being used. I prefer saying what you mention here: black people, brown people, indigenous people. I know it’s just semantics but every time I hear people of colour it feels like perpetuating the invisible split and putting whiteness as default option, as if white wasn’t a colour. We are all people of colour and white shouldn’t be a default anymore. But then again first of all I am not a native speaker, so sometimes the nuances of English escape me.
