CMS InTouch Inspiring Methods Series
24 November 2022
This is the second event in our Inspiring Methods series, where we hope to inspire researchers in the CMS community to take on methods that address some of the methodological challenges of mainstream research. In bi-monthly events, we will have different researchers discuss how their approach to research methods has challenged conventional methods and how others can adopt these methods.
In this event, Liela Jamjoom, Mariana Paludi, and Kristin S Williams talk about the work they are doing to uncover neglected women's stories, both in the past and present. They address the following topics:
1. We explore the experience of women, specifically underrepresented women
2. Our methods employ opportunities to explore agency for the women
3. We explore complexity of authorship, authorial voice, and finding voice
4. We employ a feminist methodology, designed to empower both those women in the studies, and the authors.
