Hello everyone, I just want to make it clear that I'm not talking about politics in this video. I'm referring to what's happening in the world in recent years. The wars, the division, the intolerance, and so much more. It weighs heavy on my mind and has done for some time. I don't even mention politics in this video! However bleak things may seem in the world at the moment, please keep painting, keep creating, and never lose hope!

@@NatashaNewtonArt you posted about dark times right after a very contentious US election. If you believe the results to leave us in a bleak world your message was received correctly. Don’t make people feel guilty by saying it’s not what you meant. If you were happy about it wouldn’t you have said you have a glimmer of hope? Comments from other countries say so. Was this really a misunderstanding? It’s really not fair to say it’s not what you meant if you are indeed disturbed by the election outcome. If so people read you correctly. Don’t gaslight it’s so unfair to make people doubt themselves We can disagree it’s okay. But be honest

When we can immerse ourselves in our world of art, we give ourselves the gift of self-love and can recharge our batteries with the positive energy we all desperately need at this time. The world has not only changed politically, people are also treating each other badly. Maybe I'm to sensitive. That's why such a wonderful community is so valuable. The colours of DDL are fantastically beautiful. Wonderful autumn tones. The W&N mineral grey is a beautiful tone for an overcast sky. The gloves from Kriksis are beautiful:) This is a very special gift. Take care of yourself. Have a lovely Sunday.x

I'm someone who is quite comfortable with people have differing political views and I willingly listen to both sides (I believe that most people, including leaders, are neither "all good" or "all bad"), but it seems that a lot of people nowadays can't handle any kind of opinion that differs from their own. I wonder when and why this started happening? The level of intolerance at the moment is crazy. Sure, art is a good "escape" from "challenges", but I think our art is better used to be a voice for the true challenges and tragedies of humanity that are being ignored. The world is completely backwards right now, especially in the west. People are worried about "safe spaces" and "pronouns" in the western world, meanwhile the economy declines and people cannot afford basic living expenses. Even worse in the rest of the world, children and adults are dying because of lack of basic resources; clean water, food, basic medicines. Nature and animals are dying and going extinct. The Media is spewing propaganda to our children instead of informing them of the true challenges of humanity. I am going to continue to use my art to express the true challenges of humanity, not escape them.
