I'm planning to record/ create memories with my old dogs, well they are turning 8 this year so not sure how long more they can live so... Yeah I find this go3 suits me the best cause I'm not gonna use it for crazy actions though. And I don't mind 2.7k resolution since Im not going to project the videos or images into large screen (does it make sense? 😅) But one thing is that... I was researching on external mic that can enhance the audio but sounds like there's no external mic can be attached to it... Does the stereo mode enough for vlogging with my dogs? U think?

glad to hear that those dogs have a wonderful owner. I think attaching this to your dogs is perfect but if you plan to have yourself talking in the vlog I would recommend to use your phone to record yourself and the GO3 attached to one of your dogs. At least that's what I would do. Have fun my friend!

hey man there's an app for Insta 360 products and you can grab the media from there. Once it's in your phone you can access the files from your file manager

When you record a video too long, when turn it off, it will take sometime to progress the video and that's why the Go3 get stuck, just leave it until it finish and it will reconnect again

Are you familiar with the Insta360 X3? Does the GO3 allow reframing in Insta360 Studio similar to the X3? I bought an X3 a year ago and now I am sold on the film-now-frame-later reframing of 360 video. The only glitch is I am not comfortable with taking my X3 underwater and it would not work as well due to its larger candy bar phone size and shape. I take my older GoPro H8 underwater for spearfishing and snorkeling; however, I have become very spoiled by reframing and have missed so much footage as it was ruined by improper framing of the action with the GoPro.

you can re-frame the Go3 as well but only to an extent. The X3 can be reframed up to 360° while the Go3 is only at 180° or even less than that 😂. If I am not mistaken Insta created an underwater case for the X3 go check it out!

Aside from some oddities with the X3 underwater with the dive case, it makes the camera even bigger and harder to integrate into certain activities like spearfishing. Can't help but notice the image quality is atrocious. Every time you showed your demo footage, terrible edge definition, full of fat square compression artifacts, looks like a webcam from 1999 or something. Also several shots show a vibration of the whole image, when pinned to your chest - So looks like zero shake smoothing too. Lower quality overall is especially noticeable when inter-cut with your super sharp normal camera footage... I was torn between this one, for its tiny uses, and the insta360 X3. But the X3 now wins because who needs ugly footage? Plus the fact that this thing isn't really 360, but more like 180, having only one eye on one side. Anyway, saved me a bad purchase thx for the peek.
