Insta360 Ace Pro 2 vs DJI Action 5 Pro - Low Light Comparison

The audio allows you to connect a bluetooth mic (I tried it with a new, unreleased bluetooth mic, wink wink) and the internal audio to mix the two in post. I'm wishing Insta360 somehow works some magic to allow 2 bluetooth devices, then we're cooking. ALSO - ALL the lights you can see above the road are YELLOW WARM.

do you also experience fogging of the lens when shooting with the ace pro 2? it happened to me the other day when i was doing a night shoot. i thought it was only me but a while ago i saw another vlogger who also experienced the same issue with his ace pro 2. i know fogging happens in camera lenses but i have used other cameras before under the same circumstances and never experienced fogging.

Thanks, great test. They both distort the vertical lines of buildings but in different ways. I need to find out how this translates to warping passing scenery on a motorbike.

PureVideo out of camera is excellent, considering action cameras weren’t designed for low light, it does a superb job.

@@babarali-pm7tc that all depends on the country you live in? The ace pro 2 is more optimized for low light in 30fps or lower. So it think it wouldn't matter. I know for a fact that 60fps is darker at night.

Interesting that the DjI rendered purple as blue, and then the insta turned the sky red. Both do a nice job overall tho.

I wonder if you can splice the old firmware Ace Pro 2 running video side by side with the new firmware. It won't be exact but it will give idea if new firmware made any difference on ace pro 2.

Imho. Little by little dji a5 is getting better and better but acepro2 still better but price and accessories is better on dji side. Still gonna wait till xmas to decide. Both are great. I wish acepro2 was cheaper. 🤔

Yes, DJI is doing what it can to catch up in low light. The GoPro has fallen so far behind in low light which is a shame.

The iphone purple is literally right in the middle between the ap2 magenta and the dji blue 😂. You should really auto expose once and then lock in the white balance to manual and stomp it up or down depending on your prefs. AP2 is a bit warmer, DJI is a bit cooler. They're both separate color science approaches. But you can set the DJI to a bit warmer and lock it. AWB has been a nightmare since it was first invented, it always rolls and distorts the shots. Anyone that's ever tried a setting on their cameras or phones has experienced this. There is no "normal out of the box settings" for white balance. But there is tapping your phone screen 20 million times to change the auto exposure, or trying 20 thousands different angles to influence the awb to get the shot you have in your mind.

I’ve been using both for a while and had zero problems in warm or super cold weather. Always use it with the lens guard attached.
