I just upgraded my motovlogging mic to the DJI Mic 2 which is wireless and connects to my DJI Action 4 via Bluetooth. No more wires and the audio is amazing!!

I just don't trust wireless, if the signal gets interrupted you won't know and could lose precious footage.

@@CycleCruzaunderstand! I have recorded about 6 hours so far no issues. You can always check the mic itself as it has a blue light on when it’s connected. It’s magnetized so I connected it to a bolt in my helmet. Can easily pop it out to check.

Hi there, we are concerned about the issue and the feedback you provided. As for the audio switch from the external mic to the camera mic issue, please provide us with the following information so we can check further. 1. Camera firmware version; 2. Camera log file; 3. Time of problem occurrence; 4. Third-person perspective video to demonstrate the problem process or tell us the stable way to reproduce the problem. Different cameras may have different effects on the sound recording at different driving speeds. It is recommended that you compare them under the same driving conditions. The human voice of Osmo Action 4 is indeed quieter, but the corresponding wind noise is also significantly reduced. The audio gain effect of different cameras will actually vary. We recommend our customers set the appropriate gain value based on the actual debugging situation, rather than a fixed -12. You can try to adjust the gain of Osmo Action 4 to a higher level and try again to see if you are satisfied. If not, you can also tell us what effect you want and we will try our best to provide proper suggestions.

I'm not buying a camera that needs a non-included adapter to plug in audio. As much as I hate that you have to activate DJI cams, I'd rather do that. It's also more expensive too. 8K is useless. Nobody even has an 8K display. 2K at the most, but 1080p is just fine.

That 4k is on point. Use that settings. This one of your best viewing videos. Use that camera.

I think above 1080 is still a waste at this time. Too big of files. I don't think a lot of people still don't have 4k devices/TV or internet/ correct cable box or paying premium to get it. Mind you my latest phone kind of sucks. I usually play in 720 and half time starts out in crap resolution need to switch. Despite fact settings for best quality and on decent wifi. My files are 3 gigs for 9 min or 28 depending on camera using @ 1080 60. I think my camera will do 4k, but w stabilization off and at 30fps.

Thinking about replacing my Hero 12 with this. The Action 4 seemed to cut out the background more and the Ace Pro didn't. I have an X4 but would be cool to have a pov cam from them too. The Low light noise reduction is insane. Only negative seems to be not quite as wide a view as Action 4 but not a dealbreaker. Lens protectors are a dime a dozen on Amazon now so no big deal. Great video man!

I got glass lens covers for mine from Amazon. There's a kit that comes with a lens cover and covers for both screens. Dropped my Ace Pro in gravel and broke the lens cover with no damage at all to the camera or lens on it. I immediately bought 2 more sets!

You can get a filter adapter (snaps on to the ace pro) and UV filter to protect the lens.

I rather get the X4, but there's more work in editing. But the low light feature is a step in the right direction for these action cameras. It's too big tho.

I have the X3, love the 360 video. The X4 is even better. I would never use the X3 or X4 on the helmet, only for b-roll 360 video.

Would like to see this video in true 4k instead of 1080p but I’m with cruza man go pros are picky as heck with random lock ups and freezes you have take battery out just to reset them! I don’t think my next camera will be a go pro!

If you listen closely you can't hear the sound of the motorcycle as well with the DJI Action 4, it isolates my voice in the helmet too much, something that annoyed me. I just did not care for the DJI Action 4's sound with the external mic in the helmet, and having audio failure, other than that, the video quality was always on point. I do like those Ace Pro better so far, way better low light footage, pthe best I;ve seen in an action camera so far.

@@CycleCruza the low light capabilities is pretty amazing best I’ve ever seen! My go pro 10 black is pretty much useless once sun starts setting might as well stop filming!
