Would you recommend the new Ace or the Go 3? It’s for Christmas for my son. He has three small children and he’s not much of an action guy. Maybe that answers the question but I don’t know all the features of the new Ace so thought I’d get your professional advice.

Hmm, if kids ate smaller 3-10 years ish. You can do lots of fun things woth the go 3 like mount it on different things lile cars, waterguns, bikes etc. Ace pro has that quality and low light tho, but if its to use with the kids, GO 3 all day long for me.

Everyone is comparing the new Insta360 Ace Pro with Action 4 and GoPro12 but I think the comparison of Action 4 (because of the new sensor size) and the GO 3 (for its flip screen) should be compared against the Ace Pro too. I was thinking of GO3 vs X3 vs Action 4 (as motocycling/traveling vlog) but with Ace Pro, I'm even more confused which to get.

you cannot really compare Ace Pro with Hero 12 or Action 4 simply because it is a vlogging device with only the "look" of an action cam. Why? Because a non-removable lens cover and a flip screen on a device that might take a hit once in a while is not really give me "action" vibes. The Go3 on the other hand might bring the best of both worlds actually as in the Pod it is a nice Vlogging device with the flip screen and without the pod you can mount it almost anywhere and do the action without worrying too much as the lens is also removable.

​@@Coli272if you buy an Ace Pro it will have a removable lens cover. Seems YTer's copies don't. Also, there's nothing to suggest the floppy screen is any less durable than fixed. Overall, the Ace Pro is clearly the better action cam.

@@olirc it actually is the other way round but sure go ahead and buy this „action“ cam and prepare to return it with your extended warranty as soon as sand / dust damages the flip screen over time or your lens gets scratches you can not remove. It is ridiculous how foolishly people are sometimes blinded by marketing never ceases to amaze me. insta360 did the same with the X3 by the way marketing it as an Action cam. You have to be so careful with that thing it is nerve-wrecking

Quality is amazing on the pocket, BUT the limitations to damage/water/up-and-down movement when walking etc. i would say GO 3 or Ace Pro
