Great video, good job ! Can you transfer directly to a latest gen phone videos from any SD card using the insta360 X4 USB quick reader ? Even if the videos come from the SD card of osmo pocket 3 for example ? (the app would not be needed there)
@the_daniel_life2 ай бұрын
The Insta360 X4 Quick Reader is primarily designed to work with the Insta360 X4 action camera. While it can read SD cards from other devices, including the Osmo Pocket 3, the file transfer process may not be as seamless or direct as with the X4 camera. Here's what you need to know: 1. **Compatibility:** The X4 Quick Reader supports SD cards up to 256GB. While the Osmo Pocket 3 also uses an SD card, it's important to ensure that the card is compatible with the Quick Reader. 2. **File Transfer:** To transfer videos from the Osmo Pocket 3 SD card using the X4 Quick Reader, you'll likely need to connect the Quick Reader to a computer or mobile device and use a file transfer app or software. The specific steps may vary depending on the device you're using. 3. **Limitations:** The X4 Quick Reader may not be able to directly transfer videos from the Osmo Pocket 3 SD card to a smartphone or tablet without additional software or apps. 4. **Insta360 App:** For the most seamless and efficient file transfer, it's recommended to use the official Insta360 app. Connect your Osmo Pocket 3 to the app via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and then transfer the videos to your device. 5. **Alternative Options:** If you prefer to use the X4 Quick Reader, you may need to transfer the videos from the Osmo Pocket 3 SD card to a computer or mobile device first, and then insert the card into the Quick Reader to transfer them to another device. **Please note:** The specific steps and limitations may vary depending on the devices you're using and the software available. It's recommended to consult the user manuals for your devices and software for detailed instructions. I hope this information helps!

Just got the quick reader but on one rs there was a bug it seems. When u connect quick reader to the camera you no longer can use recording when your camera is off. When the card was inside of the camera it was working fine. It seems like this happens due to it take a sec to read SD card but when its on quick reader it takes bit longer there for camera thinks there is no SD card.

@@the_daniel_life so if thats true why did they made it so you can attach to the camera and use it like external hard drives? And also if you have to take out the SD card every time just to use it there is an SD card reader with usb C connection so that you can use it on the phone. Anyways I did contact insta360 and they said that on the next firmware update they'll try to update it so that function can be used . So im just waiting

I have been informed if you buy your insta one x2 from Apple, you can transfer via cable, no need for expensive card reader. I use my own cheap multi card reader.

@@the_daniel_life easy take mini sd card from insta 360 one x2 and put in any card reader that takes mini sd card, you dont need insta's expensive one ( I use a cheap polaroid card reader cost me £10)..or as said buy from Apple (Apple asked insta for this feature) and cable transfer. Insta could make this available to all via firmware update but wont as they have card readers to sell.

Serious question. What if I have a memory card with GoPro video footage and insta360 videos on it?! Will they both show up in the app using this reader and can I edit both within the 360 app??
@the_daniel_life7 ай бұрын
Yes, the Insta360 Quick Reader should be able to read both GoPro video footage and Insta360 videos from the memory card. However, the ability to edit both types of footage within the Insta360 app may depend on the specific features and compatibility of the app. It's worth trying it out to see if the app supports editing both types of footage seamlessly. If not, you may need to use different editing software for each type of footage.

@@the_daniel_life it's a NO! I have both the insta360 4x and GoPro hero 7 black. I have an OEM Apple Sd card (tiny spot of micro SD) to Lightning cable cord which I plug in and it connects to photos and download onto my phone. I got the new card reader for X4. I flipped both micro sd cards and nothing happened on either and both said "no content available" So my GoPro videos did not show up with the insta quick reader although it did open app immediately. Then switched from the Apple cord to the quick reader and still nothing. Can't edit, download, or save in either the GoPro or insta360 unless you use the card reader for insta videos and a unique cord for GoPro videos 🫠🙄

Am I able to use this for the insta360 one x2, or at least take the SD card used on the one x2 and use this quick reader to transfer it onto my phone? I cannot find the quick reader for the one x2 which is upsetting.
@the_daniel_life Жыл бұрын
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I don't have specific information about a quick reader for the Insta360 One X2. However, if you're looking to transfer content from the Insta360 One X2's SD card to your phone, you may not necessarily need a device specifically labeled as a "quick reader" for that camera. Here are some general steps you can follow: 1. **SD Card Reader:** You can use a standard SD card reader that connects to your phone. Many smartphones support USB OTG (On-The-Go), allowing you to connect external devices, including SD card readers. You would need an appropriate adapter or cable for your phone. 2. **Insta360 App:** Ensure that you have the Insta360 app installed on your phone. This app is designed to work with Insta360 cameras and allows you to transfer and edit your footage directly. 3. **Direct Connection:** Some cameras, including the Insta360 One X2, support a direct connection to your phone via USB. You might be able to connect the camera to your phone using the provided USB cable or an appropriate adapter. 4. **Wireless Transfer:** Check if the Insta360 One X2 has wireless transfer capabilities. Some cameras allow you to transfer files wirelessly to your phone through a dedicated app. Since my information is not current beyond January 2022, I recommend checking the official Insta360 website or contacting Insta360 customer support for the latest information regarding accessories and compatibility. Additionally, check for any updates to the Insta360 app on your phone's app store, as new features and compatibility enhancements are often introduced through app updates.

Can One RS Quick Reader read files from sdcard used using One X2?
@the_daniel_life Жыл бұрын
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, there was no specific "One RS Quick Reader" available. However, Insta360 has been known for providing compatibility between some of their devices and accessories. If the One RS Quick Reader is designed to read microSD cards and is compatible with the file format used by the One X2, there's a good chance that it can read files from the microSD card used in the One X2. The key consideration is the compatibility of the card reader with the file system and format used by both cameras. To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking the official documentation, user manual, or support resources provided by Insta360 for both the One RS Quick Reader and the One X2. These sources should outline the compatibility and functionality of the Quick Reader with various Insta360 cameras and their respective file formats. If there have been updates or new products released after my last update in January 2022, it's essential to refer to the latest information from Insta360 or reach out to their customer support for clarification.
