Yep a lot more people using IC. They have definitely increased the three order batches in the last year. They also have increased the shop only orders. They also expanded the lower than $7.00 base pay. I have seen orders for 40odd items and it was paying $5.77. Can you believe it. When they announced they were going to lower the base pay on some orders it was for going and grabbing one or two items and delivering a mile or so....NOPE. Not anymore. Expanded. IC is really trying to increase their profits. I have been diamond cart five star for a long time and it doesn't seem to help seeing orders first...I guess because so many people on the app.

Just to add, IC management may be greedy here or they could be feeling the heat from UE and DD which are doing full shopping and base pay is incredibly low with those guys (could literally see them coming in and just lowering base pay for everyone, just to compete...which we may be seeing here). All these gig companies, they only have one lever to pull to increase profits (which is all publicly owned companies are pushed to do) and that is to transfer pay from drivers to them (everything else is fixed costs for them or increased prices)....over time the term race to the bottom for driver pay comes to mind....saying that as a shopper / driver.

Oh I know! That base pay is insane. I had to laugh and roll my eyes when they tried to make it sound like it was going to be such a good thing too. Nice try Instacart.

Yeah I did Instacart for a year now. I started doing Uber recently. Make a lot more for the same hours of work.

I have 10 favorite shoppers but don’t get any orders from them for some reason and it takes forever to make 4.7

Favor has been great.. I was doing spark a lot, but noticed I was making more on favor mixed with a little IC while I’m waiting for a favor order. Today I noticed I was getting quite a bit more of spark shopping.. they started IDing the shoppers inside too

I’m in Canada and our dumb government banned plastics bags, straws and forks. If you go to Walmart they don’t even sell plastic bags. I’m so jealous that Americans still get plastic bags when they shop.

It's a bit ironic as its considered a top tip here in the U.S. to grab paper bags for delivering on IC when available. Long term since its all fossil fuel based, we'll probably be saying goodbye to them too, but not for a good long time.

In New York, they banned plastic bags so we no longer have them there either :/ They used to give them out for deliveries for Walmart and stuff but theyre just banned outright right now and honestly its not as bad as I thought it wouldve been.

Any idea how to get my shopper account back it got deactivated due to me logging in and out of the app it says suspicious activity due to using programs I've never used one once it has to be from me logging in and out of the app the apps so buggy how do I get my account back

Yeah, it's kinda comical. The parking lot is jammed and takes forever to get in and out during peak hours. Costco really needs to redesign their roads out of the parking lot. There's only 1 road in and out. It's terrible where I am. Costco even has a sign saying that Instacart shoppers are not allowed to idle in the lot. Lmao, how else would you get a Costco order, but by doing that. 🤣
