Hoid is a “world hopper” in Sandersons world ( the cosmere) and he appears in every book in the world. In a lot of them hoids role is small but he plays a larger role in stormlight

I haven't read Brandon Sanderson, but readers of the Cosmere Universe, from this author say to read that book from him almost at the end of the Cosmere Series. They say you won't really understand everything in the book if you don't do it that way... ☺️

The Inquisition was bad all around, but the Spanish "division" (office?) was the worst one... and they even came to the Americas (South America, mostly).

I really want to look more into that whole time period. You know a historical fantasy is good when it makes you want to research that time period more

This new Leigh Bardugo book... How dark is it??? 🙊 I tried Ninth House some years ago and there were just some things that ended up being way too much for me- including the "SA" with too much dark spiritual elements that I just DNF'ED it completely. A Promise of Peridot I definitely want to read but I need to catch up with book one 😅 Btw I cant recall but have you read any books by Elle Kennedy?? After Finishing Bring Me Your Midnight, I saw that she had a new book out and I wanted to take a little break and read something different and so I got it- so far I'm really enjoying it!!! 😂💗💗

Ninth House and the Alex Stern series was definitely sooooo dark but the Familiar doesn’t have content like that. It does talk about the time period where the Spanish Inquisition was killing people of different faiths other than Christianity which was a lot of Jews and they would burn people at the stake but no SA and nothing like ninth house
