This means your CPM for 18.02K views with a $90.12 payout was at or around $5. So you made $5 per 1,000 views. That’s pretty great to be starting off. So if you post more reels then your CPM could increase. That’s why it says in the beginning views can be worth more. The beginning of the program overall. Once more people are invited then your CPM will be stuck where it is.

I'm actually in the opinion that entering the Reels Play program doesn't affect your views. I've seen normal views when I post normally, less views when I don't really post, and lots of views when I make more Reels. Just depends on the individual's posting frequency.

Crazy, I started it last week. Views and engagement went up at first Then started declining. The first day I made it to $101 at around 15k views. Now 4 days later I’m at 36k views and it’s only moved up to 101.50. Don’t understand how they are pricing things lol. Just posting a reel a day and we’ll see what happens.

The first $100 you get is the best price-per-view ratio you get. It keeps declining after that no matter what deal they give you. The only way it's worth it is if you have a reel that goes hugely viral. But, honestly read the comments on this video, and many people have shared their experiences -- which is what you described. It's pretty rare to make the full amount each month. Keep us posted on how it goes for you!

There's no way to get out of the program once you join. You'll have to wait 17 days (or however many days it says you have left) for it to expire. Once it expires you'll be out and it may prompt you to join again.

The reel will show up in the current bonus tab if it's earning. If it's not there, it isn't on for that reel. You should be able to edit it and turn on bonuses.

Branded content isn't on/off switch. It's the kind of content you post, Instagram defines it as: "We define branded content as a creator or publisher's content that features or is influenced by a business partner for an exchange of value (for example, where the business partner has paid the creator or publisher).". I believe you can post branded content on your account but if you try to post branded content using Reels Bonuses, they will take it away from you. You can have the bonuses feature, but choose not to turn it on for select reels.

I recently got the bonus offer and my offer was $10 a reel (it is not based on views or reach) and my account is not very big. Thing is I've been using all types of apps to post reel type videos since 2013 so my feeling is they are experimenting with bonus offers for creators who have longevity on the platform. It doesn't make sense for them to pay on content that isn't evergreen and evergreen content has always driven search. That's how google works and maybe they're trying to find a more sustainable monetization/payout model for creators. Ig has had a lot of setbacks this year so prob need to get their act together. Their TOS does say they have 3 very different payout structures so all the questions on bonuses are answered there.

You're right, they've expanded their offering and created different types of bonus structures since I made this video. I agree with you that this is a way for them to offer something to creators and accounts of all sizes. I still think what they have going on isn't perfect. Evergreen content isn't really something they tailor their platform to, which is why I think many creators feel like they're on a never-ending loop to pump out content there. Just this month I had a small offer to get $10 to make a reel using specific audio. That said, it seems they'll continue experimenting with different types of offers.

I have the same payout as you - $1,200 for 11.02 million views. But for me, I noticed that I wasn’t payed the most for the first 1,000 views. I was payed the most for any reels I posted in the first week of the period. I did the math on all the reels in the first week and I was making exactly 5 cents per view in that week. After the first week, the amount per view decreased dramatically. So maybe it’s the window they’re presenting? 🤷🏾‍♂️

@@redhalftone Actually, I was partially wrong at the time I posted this. It’s not in the first week; it looks like it’s for the first 20,000 views you accumulate. Also it’s 1/2 cent per view for the first 20,000 views, not 5 cents like I originally said. I labeled the math incorrectly. I just started my new month on the 28th. In the past two days, I’ve posted 4 reels that altogether have accumulated 23,680 views thus far. I’ve earned $100.37 according to Instagram. Over the past two days I was keeping track of this every few hours with a calculator and I saw that I was earning 1/2 cent per view to begin but after I hit my 20,000th view the math became a little funny. 20,000 x .005 = $100. So this means that 23,680 x .005 = $118.40. But I have $100.37. So I calculated the 3,680 views that came after and I’m making 1/100th of one cent per view after the 20,000 mark. 11,020,000 is 11.02 million views. When I first started this program I was wondering why 11.02 million specifically because that number seemed a little arbitrary. But it makes sense. For 20,000 views they pay you 1/2 cent per view. In the month when you made $90 on 18,000 views it’s because 18,000 x .005 = 90. But for the remaining 11,000,000 views, it appears to be 1/100th of a cent per view. 11,000,000 (views) x .0001 (1/100th of a penny) = $1,100

As far as I know, there's no way to opt-out. Once the month expires it will usually prompt you to do it again the next month. Just don't accept it when it asks to start again. I'm currently experimenting with that to see if there's a difference.

It seems to be random. The only criteria you have to meet to be considered is: being 18+ and having a business or creator-type account (check your settings to make sure you aren't set as a personal account). I assume if you have any strikes against your account you might not be eligible.

Many people have reported this, especially with the program that pays by views. If views are more important to you than the amount they're paying, then I wouldn't join again next month. My views increased back to what they were after I left the program.

I haven't heard of that happening before. Usually, they just don't pay if you don't crack $100. Check your payout details and see if the numbers match up.

They definitely are slowing down video circulation. It’s scammy to me. All of a sudden I’m not getting as much traction on my new videos since I got in the program. Anything that counts towards the bonus is not doing great and the amount they dangle in front of your face vs what they actually pay you it seems like a scam to get you to make an unnecessary amount of content

I just joined like a few days ago I haven’t posted anything yet but I’ve been seeing mixed reviews about the program. Interesting, I haven't heard of any other repost accounts getting it, I know it isn't common. You must be under their radar! I don't think they'd take the money away, but they can just stop offering it at any time -- they can do that to anyone, though. When they do that, they basically just turn it off. It happened to someone I know (not a repost account, an art account) and they're not sure why, and they're unable to appeal it. Let us know if anything happens.

Also for each reel you post you receive one bonus so you got 2 maximum bonuses this month and your max potential was $1,000 for each reel. This means at your CPM of $5 per 1000 views - you would need 200,000 views to receive the full bonus. For each video that’s $2,000 for 400,000 views. At this point you would only be paid for what the max view bonus was. So in November that would be 5 reels, 200,000 views each reel, and a max total bonus of $5,000. This is how it was designed for IG Creator Incentives

In November your CPM was approximately $6.25 per 1000 views. But when you said it went down at 11.02 M views, your max payout went up extremely. You can make up to $55,000. But you would need 45 reels with at least 240,000 views.

@@iamtralicia6402 I'm not sure that's true. Anyone who has bonuses will tell you their payout amount was ticking up fast until they hit $100. Views past that initial $100 were worth significantly less. Payout per view is not equal throughout the program and shouldn't be viewed as an average CPM. Also, the max you can get per month is the max listed. That max is not a max per reel, it's the ceiling for all the reels posted during those 30 days.

Relieved to find out that I’m not the only one experiencing the crazy throttling of payouts after $100. I had a reel get 15K views today and got $50 for the first 10K ( that got me to a total of $100) and only a dollar for the last 5K. I was hoping it was a glitch 🫤

Thank you! It might be due to budgeting. They can probably only give it to a certain amount of accounts at a time because the total they have to payout each month to every creator varies.
