I have tried the prerequisites 1- Enabling HTTP Service with defining the Subnet and Interface 2- Asdm user account in the ASA 3- Java + Java JRE for launching the ASDM. - had also tuned in the JAVA configuration itself by importing certificates from the browser issued by the ASA itself and adding the ASA interface as the trusted site. - added the encryption mechanism in the ASA "ssl encryption rc4-sha1 aes128-sha1 aes256-sha1 3des-sha1" - however, mine (ASA-915 in Eve-Ng) still did not allow me to access the ASDM || same as before "ASDM Unable to Launch Device Manager from source"

​@@norbertt.t6444 Even in Windows real pc there are lot of issues. Try next: - Delete the desk icon, shortcut.. - Execute the .jar file directly in the pad ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\ASDM\asdm-launcher.jar"") - Create a new shortcut If its doesn´t worl or appears de next message : "This app can't run on your PC" Try next: When you install the ASDM Launcher, Windows 10 might replace the ASDM shortcut target with the Windows Scripting Host path, which causes this error. To fix the shortcut target: 1. Choose Start > Cisco ASDM-IDM Launcher, and right-click the Cisco ASDM-IDM Launcher application. 2. Choose More > Open file location. Windows opens the directory with the shortcut icon. 3. Right click the shortcut icon, and choose Properties. 4. Change the Target to: C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe invisible.vbs run.bat 5. Click OK. 5 Stars!
