This was a really great straightforward tutorial. I was stressed about trying to figure out how to install it but you made it super easy.

LOVE this seat. I used to have a chicco nextfit that I couldn’t get a tight install with seatbelt forward facing. This seat is rock solid either way with the seatbelt, with minimal sweating and wrestling during install. 😂

The Britax Clicktight is certainly a game-changer in terms of getting a tight installation quickly

Have 6 of these😵 3 for my car and 3 for my husbands truck Absolutely love them! I have two questions 1. How to install top tether in a truck? 2. What to do when the 3rd row in my Yukon xl only has 1 anchor but I need two forward facing car seats in the 3rd row?
@safeintheseat Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! 1. Check the vehicle owner's manual, it shows you how to do it. 2. You can only have one forward-facing harnessed seat back there. You will need to rearrange the kids to have a rear-facing or booster age kid back there.

Is there a way to tighten the straps? Im pulling all the way up but it still seems loose?
@MOllinda012 ай бұрын
Tightening the straps! I feel like the padding and the rubber part are not allowing for me to get the straps snug enough. Help me 😅
@safeintheseatАй бұрын
It can be helpful to just leave the harness tightened if you have trouble tightening it each time

I know locking the seatbelt isn’t necessary because the click tight does that for you, but can you lock it anyways for extra protection? 😅
@safeintheseat6 ай бұрын
Locking the seat belt does not offer extra protection. But if your child is playing with the seat belt, you can lock it to avoid strangulation.

I don’t know if this is the right place for questions but If I have this car seat then do you know what type of stroller I need?
@safeintheseat2 ай бұрын
This car seat cannot attach to a stroller. If you need a stroller from birth, find one with a bassinet. If not, choose whichever stroller you like the best.

Is the removable seat pad on this car seat for infants only? Is there anything I should remove from it before putting my 1 year old in it?
@safeintheseat5 ай бұрын
It's optional for the rear-facing mode, remove it whenever

Do you know if this fits on most planes (forward facing, economy)? I know it’s very heavy but we would use britax cart to wheel around airport and hopefully down plane aisle. Great video!!!!!

Thanks for this amazing resource and all your content!! We love this seat but recently my 1.5 year old (rear facing) has been unclicking the seat belt while in his seat.. oof. Any tips / tricks to keep the seatbelt clicked in?

How is he reaching the seat belt buckle?
@user-lr9mn4ly1m Жыл бұрын
@@safeintheseat Thanks for the reply! He’s using his right hand (seated behind passenger) and going over the side of the car seat to the red buckle release.

Did you also anchor it ? Or just the seatbelt?
@safeintheseatАй бұрын
You use just the seat belt for rear-facing.
@dakotahamilton29367 ай бұрын
Do you have a the measurement on how compact this seat is rear facing?
@safeintheseat7 ай бұрын
It varies by vehicle because the seat slope makes a difference as well as which recline you are using. But this is one of the more compact options.

My child likes to rest his feet behind that rebound bar… I’m assuming they’ve looked at that in crash tests but I can’t find any info about it. I was just curious if anyone has thoughts or insights on that?
@safeintheseat6 ай бұрын
It's unlikely to be an issue as during the crash, the child's legs will move closer to their body, and because of this, their feet are very unlikely to be caught behind the anti-rebound bar.

Have there been any developments to this model, or would one made ~8 yrs ago be the exact same? Trying to decide if I should use this one my mom bought for my niece several years ago or buy a new car seat. Just want to make sure all the safety features still apply/I wouldn’t be missing out on any advancements. (I know the entire history of the seat and it was lightly used; still not expired). Thanks!
@safeintheseat Жыл бұрын
It's the same as far as we know!

Is it ok to thread the lap belt through the rear facing belt path first and then the shoulder belt? I find it easier than threading them together at the same time
@safeintheseat Жыл бұрын
As long as both parts of the seat belt are in place before you close the panel, that's fine
@loveobviously9 ай бұрын
I’ve had my one4life click tight for about a month. We have found the it doesn’t stay tight at all. Have you seen this problem before?
@safeintheseat9 ай бұрын
We have not! You can contact Britax
@brittanyaarts5608 Жыл бұрын
The seat belt is supposed to be in a locked position once the seat is installed, correct?
@kar0047 Жыл бұрын
No
@kar0047 Жыл бұрын
That’s what the clicktight panel is for. She says in the video the panel IS the lock off. Locking the seatbelt further is not proper installation
@safeintheseat Жыл бұрын
No, you do not lock the seat belt with this specific seat. The ClickTight panel is locking the seat belt in place already.
@Kamla5abi8610 ай бұрын

I can only get mine to click closed if I John Cena it
@25Bsingle Жыл бұрын
You may be acually overtighting the seat belt which make it nearly impossible to close the panel you just need to snug sealbelt enough to remove the slack and don't lock the seatbelt like you do like typical seats
@safeintheseat Жыл бұрын
Try making the seat belt less tight before closing the panel. Pushing down on the ClickTight panel already tightens the belt a few inches more.
