Install certificates for vEdge Devices

Hello. Can i upload serialfile if i dont have Smart account? I want to do visible vedge in my vmanage dashboard

Before it was possible to download serial files without smart accounts but now you can not do it, you may find some serial file on internet to download, but make sure you use the same organization name like the serial file. I believe for lab its OK to do that.

Hi is it important to validate after putting vedge list in vmanage?

Yes, validation means active the vedge or c edge, without action it will not install certificate

When i try to add root ca to vedge and try to install it it says failed to install root certification chain any work around? All my vedge vmanage and vbound got certs but stuck with vedge now

Check date and time, check the organization name, it must be same as the vedge list that you upload, check the connectivity with vBond and vManage, make sure you upload the certificate correctly, I recommend to use winscp to upload, if you use the command line to create the certificate file make sure to copy and paste the certificate text completely. Make sure you assign the vBond ip address correctly.
