If you're getting the error "gzip: stdin: not in gzip format" when unpacking the gz file, then use "curl -JLO" when downloading instead. and if the go command is not found after editing the .bashrc file, run "source .bashrc"

Just installed this with these instructions - in a terminal "go version" detects that GO is installed - however in VS code it's still not detecting it, the first line in my working file "package main" is underlined in red - (I have the Go extension and all the extras installed as well) - I've rebooted but still not working.
