I'm trying to install everything in D:, but whenever I try to finish the installation like the video, it says that "an error occured with the creation of the machine". Help!

Not sure if this is your problem, but I'll do my best to explain: leave your ISO image where you downloaded it. Open VirtualBox Manager, click on File (top left), select Preferences..., in the Default Machine Folder box click the down arrow and select the drive (location) you want your VM (kali 2023.4) to be saved in. Once that is done, click on New, and after giving your VM a name, click the down arrow in the Folder box and select the drive you chose in the first part of these instructions and then go from there ... Hope this was helpful. :)

@@chocmoose18 Hey there! Okay, so I moved the ISO back to Downloads (C:). Then I went to preferences, put D: (in a folder I did for this), went to New, put the name, folder already in there, selected the ISO... But still the same problem :(

​@@marccat474 Hi! Sorry to hear that. I'm trying to figure out what went wrong, as that worked for me. I would try re-downloading the ISO image to the default download folder (C:\This PC\Downloads -- this is mine, but yours might be different) so you know where to find it for the install. Then create a "New" machine in VirtualBox and follow what I said earlier -- if you set the Preferences to the "D:\in a folder...", before creating the "New" machine, then it will automatically populate the "Folder:" field on the "Create Virtual Machine" screen. Hopefully you have already tried other solutions by now and have resolved the issue. : ) If not, I really hope this works.

When I 'Start' i just get a black screen with a robotic voice talking me through each language option 1 by 1! I do not get the language option you get where you can select using a mouse. Please can someone help?!

Right after you press start and get Kali linux running in VM, you will get a window with the option to select "graphical install" press enter in your keyboard right away. In this KZbin video that window is in 2:24
