Thanks, worked a charm. I did do a check for Windows Updates after a reboot and found there was a .Net update in the list in stalled. I required this (.NET 3.5 ) to run the installer of Mike's BMW Tools - I do have a functioning instance of INPA up & running on my machine. Yay!

@@MDTechVideos Your tutorial is very insightful and very helpful. I was able to follow up until 4:10. The problem was that when the green loading bar appeared, the whole PC just froze. I couldn't do anything for about ten minutes. I left it for longer and eventually I had to force a shut down. I don't have any qualms in admitting that I'm not the best with computers. The reason I need the program is because Guitar Hero 3 PC won't install without .NET Framework. I tried to install it before and it kept saying 'Windows does not need to download Net Framework.' I soon realised that I needed to uncheck the option in the Control Panel (like you stated in the video.) I already have the game on my other laptop but I would like to have a back up game on the family PC. The only issue now is why this particular PC keeps freezing?

I would suggest attempting to restart the download of NET Framework. There should also be NET Frameworks listed in the "Turn Windows Features On Or Off". See if you have some compatibility problems potentially brewing in there.
