i have a question rayan what will be the result of letting the service monitor to point to the application but in case we have deployment with three replica ? does prometheus consolidate all of these metrics of the replicas together ?

Great question! It will collect metrics from each replica individually, and each replica's metrics will be labeled with its unique pod name/ID. You can then aggregate those metrics using PromQL as you see fit,

Few more questions In which location will the logs gets stored? How can we rotate these logs automatically? In case we just want to keep last 7 days logs.
