What exactly the fetchpkg does? you can actually download .PKG update directly with download manager. Unless this project can convert official PKG retail patch to FPKG

Nvm, figured it out. Powershell doesn't play nice when you have tons of other developer software installed, i had to put ".\fetchpkg" instead of just fetchpkg. Good stuff, thanks Michael!

From what I've found online... PS5 4.03 = PS4 9.03. PS5 4.51 = PS4 9.04. In my experience all 9.00 PS4 patches work on 4.03 PS5.

Maybe something you can clarify Michael thanks. How do I know what patch to apply on a ps5 for ps4 games running on a PS5 4.51. Would it still be PS4 firmware 9.0 or higher

I've tried talking to other channels on KZbin and no one answers... lol I have a PS5 on version 3.10 and I can't run any PS5 dumps. I can only play PS4 dumps, but all PS5 dumps crash at the beginning. I've tried several, downloaded from the dplsgame website... Does 3.20 work better? I did it, i was on 3.10, bud have a bad bad bad issue then i update to 3.20, no issues til now, i read in some place that 3.10 was a very rare firmware, dont know

@@eflgameplay the same games re3 and re2 on 3.10, the issue i got was a kernel panic and ps5 cant recover it ask me to reintall fimware then i upgrade to 3.20

oh a superior way to have burned physical games that sony never natively allowed. fantastic future emulators will take advantage of this. but as of right now sony prevents preservation and degrades the UI on ps5. one pkg file unlike the BO1 Wii disk that has no dlc nintendo announced after announcing we would get some dlc. come to find out the contents of every dlc First Strike, Escalation, Descent, Salvation were all secretly on the physical disk and never used. Found using Express Zip on Mac. if i'm wrong about the dlc patching into one file lmk. i wouldn't put this past sony to make something good and never let anyone use it. just like cod exclusives what a fumble. cod died yesterday.

from what i can tell on reddit unpacking a pkg on ps5 is likely password protected and encrypted. lmk if this includes the installed pkg you just mentioned. i don't think it's so simple to install and extract what you just said. sounds like ps5 internally combines files all into one, permanantly.
