If it does not work just delete the exe.old (if it does not let you delete it, end the Snap Camera task from task manager and it works). For me it worked this way!

Hey Michael, thanks for posting this tip. It is nice to be able to see the lens icons rather than all dark. Currently I am using another workaround given by a user on twitter where the program will work as long as it does not have internet access. I also backed up the folders which came in handy since one time I was using the program, I lost the lenses, but was able to successfully restore them with my folder backups. I am going to test out your method as I am always happy to find new lenses that I might have overlooked.

As of July 2024 it still works thanks Michael! Guys, you just have to follow exactly the same as what Michael said. I first did slightly different (by renaming the original to instead of ... so it didn't work!!! So I then uninstalled everything and redo the whole thing again followed exactly the same as this video

I reopened my Snap Camera, and according to your tutorial, there should be a keyboard icon at the top right. Unfortunately, it seems that it has been removed. Followed all the steps and it still wouldn't work. However, I then watched the video on the patch page and followed the steps they showed instead and that seemed to do the trick. It works for me now! Basically, instead of renaming the old file, just rename the patched file and then copy and paste into the snap folder and hit yes to OVERWRITE the original. Watch the shorter video on the patch page if that doesn't make sense.

moved a little fast so had to slow it down in the speed to actually was happening, ended up trying it a second time and it worked out. names of the files were different in mine it didnt say" .exe", in my program files so i ended up having to rename it before copy an pasting the patch file into the program file-snapcam folder then changing the patch to .exe an old then closed it all down an bam worked so thank you thank you so as someone slow like me an things never turn out how anyone does it it ended up working out.thank you

Even after patching it, it still sits at the same page (opened new patched file) with everything blanked out, when i click the star it just says "tap the star to favorite lenses" but nothing is clickable, and at the bottom of the cam screen there's a swirling thinking icon.. not sure what to do or if i did something wrong.

Snap camera should be available in prism. I use it all the time. Just be sure something else isn’t using it.

Help... I had the old version on my PC with hot keys programmed to a Stream Deck with little pics of what each lens was. Spent a couple of hours doing that a few days ago. Then TODAY I see this video LOL Soooooooo now I want the "patch version". So I installed it.... but ALL of my lenses are gone! I didn't know they were stored in a different folder... the App Data folder. So, now I have to try and locate everything. Lucky for me I downloaded the Snap Filter for each one and had them sitting there. I was able to locate just about all of them EXCEPT for the "Baby Lens" by Snap Inc. Can someone please please please please tell me what to search for to find it. Please. Thank you Michael, and thank you Jaku for doing this for us.
