Thank you so much for the detailed tutorials! I have 1 issue that's driving me crazy. Hopefully you have an idea. I can access qbit, radarr & Prawlarr individualy on the same ip address but different ports. As soon as I want to connect them to each other, for example adding qbit as a download client, I always get an connection error. It seems they cannot communicate to each other. Any idea?
@techbytetips9 ай бұрын
That is very weird indeed. Always make sure to connect them using the IP of the NAS and don't try to use anything like "localhost:8082"

Thanks for taking the time to make the tutorial, but this moves really fast and doesn't explain a lot of the things you're doing. Like adding the environment variables, I have no idea why you did that or what it's supposed to do, and you blew right through those steps in a couple of seconds. If I want to know how to do something like this in the future or I run into any hiccups in this process, I won't have any idea how to tweak settings using this tutorial because things weren't explained during setup.
@techbytetips10 ай бұрын
Hi @jookboks, thanks for your comment. In the series (several videos so far) I’ve been explaining what things are. I even made a video specifically addressing how you get the PUID and PGID for your user. That’s why I went fast. TZ is the TimeZone. You set that variable so that the web server for the application can know your timezone when looking for content. PUID - is the ID of the user that you want to run the app as. It should be mapped to a user that has permissions to the folders in Synology. PGID - is the group ID for that user. The port, I set them up in order since I am setting up a lot of apps in this series. That’s what you put in your browser, after the NAS IP to access the apps. The volumes is a way of mapping the shared folders inside the container to a specific path. There is a video on the file structure too. Hope it clarifies for you.

Hi - I keep getting this error message "No files found are eligible for import in /downloads/sonarr/[Series name]" whenever a series/episode finishes downloading. I have checked the mapping on the docker and the remote path mappings they are the exactly the same. Am I missing something?
@techbytetips22 күн бұрын
That usually happens when the name of the torrent does not contain the details of the episode. For example, many torrent sites convert the torrent name to a hash. The Arrs cannot identify to which episode it belongs from the torrent name. You have to go into the Arr and manually import them in that case.

Hey, thank you for the video. An issue i seem to run into is that when i add series (or movies) they don't get downloaded automatically. I'll have to go into the show nad click the magnifying glass to get them downloaded. Is this normal? I thought it should be getting downloaded automatically after searching for the series, and adding them to your list.
@techbytetips8 ай бұрын
Make sure that when you add the show, you check the box to start searching for episodes. If you don't it won't automatically do it.

Love the movies. I just have problem with the download. When sonarr downloads a serie. Then sonarr don't see it, that's its downloaded... the Path is not correct. Can you help? Thanks Robin
@techbytetips Жыл бұрын
Hi Robin! You must have mapped something incorrectly. Please follow the steps correctly and make sure that you setup the mappings in both the containers and the application settings appropriately. I created a video in the beginning of the playlist explaining the file structure that I set up and was going to use for the whole series.

So using your method, how do you update your containers when an update is available? Thank You for your videos, very helpful information
@techbytetips11 ай бұрын
Apologies for the time to respond@@marclemieux2997. Things are very hectic with work. If you are using the latest tag (which I try for each container). Once that tag gets updated, you can download the latest version of that tag again, then stop the container, then reset it (right click > Actions > reset), then start it again. It will update to the latest version and use the configuration files that we have already stored to run as it was before. Hope it helps.

Do you have a video how to add indexers?
@techbytetips10 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, there is an app for the indexers called Prowlarr. I have a video in the series. I explain how to set it up. That app connects to the other arrs to pass them the indexers and you manage your indexers there. You should definitely use that one!

Has anyone tried doing tying this with Download Station. It does not seem to like my Synology’s ip address but I know its right.
@Liadrin11 ай бұрын
Hello, I did exactly what you did, but i still have the problem about the path :( "Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr:" I read your previous answer, but it doesn't help :/
@techbytetips11 ай бұрын
I don't remember what the previous answer was and I can't find it since this message doesn't follow the previous question/answer, but if you are having a "path does not exist or is not accessible" it sounds like: 1. You did not map the folder to the container appropriately or 2. The user that the container is running as does not have permissions for that folder. I'm assuming that you are trying to do this in a Synology NAS as the series is for that case.

Did you find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue following this tutorial and I've given every user Read/Write access to everything.

I am trying to add a root folder under media management but keep getting this error Unable to add root folder Folder '/shows/' is not writable by user 'abc' shows is mounted to my Plex server which is on the same server. I just login with user admin to sonarr app, should I be providing that app user permissions to this folder in file station?
@techbytetips5 ай бұрын
You need to make sure that the PUID PGID in the container is a user with permissions in the Synology platform.
@showdown20065 ай бұрын
@@techbytetips thanks, I ended up fixing that but now I am having issues with the import step. No matter what I do it keeps saying file under /tv/sonarr doesn't exist or is inaccessible, but that is not the local path I have mapped to, not sure why it keeps looking for that?

@@showdown2006 Check that your mappings inside the applications are correct and that they match the container mappings.

It sounds like you have not used the proper PUID/PGID or have not given permissions to the shared folder to the user that is mapped to that PUID/PGID.
