Now, you reconfigure to be able to have a delay between the different reach those beams has. Shut off the longest first, then the next longest etc. Having a million lumen at a couple of hundred meters, doesn't help if you're blind at 1K. It's like driving with the fog lights all night, and thinking you see everything, as many sadly doo. The best LED's still can't beat a good classic halogen or xenon. They still hit the mark well into 1000m. So what's your reach ? :) .No critics ;)

LED bars look like they should be good, but technically they’re pretty poor: multiple naked LEDs with no true reflectors or focussing lenses. The light goes everywhere. In a light bar this is compounded by their arrangement: lots in a row, so multiple overlapping light source points that mask shape and shadow. Pretty much the opposite of what would be desirable. Useful just for lighting the immediate surrounding / camping area (your drone shot shows this, look at the short range light spill). I totally get why people fit them for looks, but for those wanting genuinely useful long range lamps then single sources with larger well defined reflectors and true focussing lenses are far superior for distance lighting, creating sharp defined shadows that mean more to the human eye. Fit them lower too. Vehicle lighting doesn’t benefit from being high off the ground: the lower the light the longer the shadow - ironically that’s how you see better at night.

This setup works great for me. Check out the auxbeam spec on the light bar! The drone footage doesn't not give you the total effect as it was still quite light, hitting the tree cut filming short, so I couldn't get the overall effect, 😁👍

The perimeter lighting is great for this time of year when selecting somewhere to stay you will only jump in a muddy foot deep puddle once
