Damn brother I must say; this is something I have thought a LOT about; especially the past few years I have had my 14 Encore. I love it; one of the only things i hate about it is just a year or two after the production of the car; they started making car play standard! Bastards. I really appreciated how well you explain things and explain where things go; where the clip[s are and in which direction to pull or place them. Thank you very much for this!

So where does the box go? You have to leave it in the glove compartment?

Installed this myself this morning following the above for guidance only, certainly takes longer than the 8 minutes you see here, but I expected that, all depends on your hands size and your luck in getting that radio to line back up with the cables afterwards. Seems to work great, haven't had much time to toy with it yet, but it does work and google maps functions which is nice. Screen isn't touch because the OEM screen isn't touch and GROM doesnt appear to sell a kit for a touch overlay, they do however sell a 7 inch overlay kit meant for Volvo Mercedes which makes me curious if it would also work for this screen since they are both 7in, GROM said they didnt carry one for my 2014 buick encore, not sure if worth trying the one for Volvo Mercedes.

I have a 2017 encore and it has apple car play but it’s not wireless do yall have a new radio for that So I can make it wireless

Can you please clarify if the device can use the car’s standard microphone (Buick Encore 2016), or does it require an additional one to be installed? Also, I’m unclear about the standard UI for the air conditioner and the backup camera. Do I need to exit VLine to use these features, or do they overlay on top of the VLine UI?

Hello, when installed into Buick Encore 2016, the system will use the factory microphone that is already available in the vehicle. The backup camera will keep working and you do not have to exit the VLine mode to access the factory backup camera. It will show up upon the vehicle's reverse. The climate controls data will show up on the screen on top of the VLine UI (the temperature).

@@gromaudiothank you. I mean that layout of climate control where you can see current level and direction. It’s visible on factory screen when I switch climate control. Also do you have any photos of how VLine can be mounted in Buick Encore 2016? As I understand you recommend to put it inside the glove compartment so I’m curious how it looks like.

@@igorkorneichuk5415 To see the full climate control screen, you will switch back to the factory UI by entering any factory UI source (such as FM). We do not have photos of what the unit itself looks like in the glove compartment. However, you can watch our other videos for examples.

Yes, you still will see your original backup camera on the screen upon reverse.

Yes it can as long as the stereo has MyLinq 7-inch screen.
