INSTALLATION/ACTIVATION OF RENAULT TALISMAN TAIL LIGHTS WITH FACELIFT ON 2016 RENAULT TALISMAN

Hello everyone and welcome to my channel.
I mounted and activated the taillights of the new / face-lifted Renault Talisman, which I had brought from abroad, Europe and South Korea, to my 2016 Renault Talisman car.
I say activated because although physically the old and new taillights are exactly the same, their electrical connections, cable/pin numbers and sockets are not the same. In the old taillights, there is a 4-pin socket on the outside, and a 4-pin socket on the inside on the left and a 3-pin socket on the right.
In the new socket lamps, there is a 6-pin socket on the outside and a 7-pin socket on the inside. They are not the same in shape. Therefore, it is necessary to use an intermediate converter socket. I manufactured the required sockets myself.
I had the sockets supplied to a dealer where I live. I did not buy the taillights from an online store. That's why I don't have an online sales link. It can be purchased from Renault Official Garage. As of June 2021, the price of 1 set of stop lamps is 20.400 TL at the Renault Garage.
It does not require any DDT4ALL modifications.

Is your break light stock 2016? By break light I mean the lights that show up on your rear windshield when you break. I have the Korean SM6 and my break light is complete trash. Yours appears to have 8 separate led lights. Mine is just a line that's not even straight.

@@user-ev6qd6bd9u Good decision. New taillights are really beatiful. Matrix led headlights need new type front camera to sense objects and vehicles front of the car. And also will need new type bcm unit. So it is very hard to make this.I searched but couldn't find the part number.

These facelift lights look so much better than the phase 1 version! Where did you buy the parts for the intermediate sockets? How does it work with the synchronisation between the smaller and larger light for the dynamic indicators? There is a small delay in the indicator in the smaller part needed, do these lights regulate this themselves? I was thinking on this upgrade for my Talisman Estate ph1 ftom 2017! Are the lights of the saloon and estate different?

So much question :) I bought the parts from a local seller in Turkey. They have no online sales. I manufactured theintermediate wires and sockets myself. Sychronization is regulated by lamps themselves. But you should buy the correct lamp set. Because 2 types of phase 2 taillight. Sequential and no sequential. If you mix both type of sets with each other, it will work very bad. I don't remember the specific part numbers for the sequential ones. Saloon and estate taillights are different. You can't install saloon to estate.

No problem. ;) Yes. The one which has seqential turning light, and the one turning light leds lit together like the front turning lights.

No.It looks completely same.Part reference numbers are different.But i don't remember the numbers of sequential ones.

Merhaba. Renault iyi niyet garantisini iyi uygulayan bir marka.Özellikle şanzıman ve motor da bir sıkıntı çıkarsa maliyette yarı yarıya veya daha üzeri destek olabiliyorlar. Şanzıman kolay problem çıkarabilecek bir şanzıman değil. Motor da keza öyle.Ama yine de hatırlatmak istedim. Alacağınız yağ 5w30, RN720 sertifikalı yani renault motor uyumlu dpf uyumlu yağ satın almanız lazım. Eskiden elf evolution kullanıyorlardı serviste. Şimdi castrol kullanıyorlar.Tabi ki rn720 uyumlu. 6,8 lt yağ alır.

@@HakanHeh ah, thanks a lot. No need to try then. Lucky me. I wanted to buy all the 4 tail lights seperately on ebay from different sellers. Then I suddenly found a man selling the complete set. Just imagine if I had mixed these two different sets. Haha two dynamic ones mixed with two static, that would have been really silly.

@@laurencedecambray370 ahw man, I still don't know... in the end Renault switched them for me. Cost me about 390 Euros. A lot of work probably since I have an Estate with a bigger tailgate and they need to. Add wires for brake lights and blinkers. I was lucky enough to find a full set of phase 2 leds for 350 so that took down the price a little. All in all it Cost me 740 Euros. Let's Hope my wife doesn't read this :)

You don't need to modify any socket or harness if you use adapter cable set. What kind of a modifying do you mean?

Did you watch the video? I mentioned it in the video. Need new wiring and sockets. I don't know where you can buy the lamps. There are 2 types. Sequential turning light, and not sequential. Be careful to this when you buy. Good luck

Hello. You have to need cable work for the led lights. I am not sure if door handsfree lock antennas fit or not.
