That's how I ran my radio wires in the Kenworth T-800, log truck I drove before I retired, if you add a amplifier be sure to use 10 gauge wire with a 5 to 10 amp fuse, anything less than 5 amps, you'll blow the fuse every time you key the microphone ")

Great video -- I'm thinking of doing the exact same install in my Bronco, to include the MOLLE panel on the overhead. Curious what the visibility is of the control panel in that orientation -- did you consider angling the radio towards the driver side for a better view or is it unnecessary?

I can’t see the face at all from the driver seat. All the controls are on the mic. I don’t need to see the face because cycling through modes it reads out loud where you are. You could move it up or down with no problem.

You installed the radio upside down?

No, in the beginning of the video I had it flipped lol trying to record and install at the same time. Final result radio was installed in the correct orientation.

I hope your power wire doesn't go in front of the airbags, but rather tucked behind them. You don't want those exploding on your face when that airbag (hopefully not) is deployed.😊
