if there is a fault with the waist in the future this means the whole tray has to be lifted? isnt it better to create a rised space so that access is easier to waist (newbie thoughts)

Why on earth would anyone install tiles or wall panels BEFORE the shower tray? This is just asking for damp issues around the tray.
