Installation of multifunction Steering wheel controls for Mitsubishi Outlander

Dowe have all connecter from steering wire harnes? Or do we need modifications such as cruis control modulator etc?

Great video, but i have 2 questions. 1: does the cruise control work? And 2: what size screwdriver do you use?

Mine already has cruise control but the buttons went out. Id assume if it came without cruise from factory would need to be programmed. For tools, I used a T30 star for first screws, second set is a Phillips screwdriver.

@Drip187 those two screws right at the back (the ones that hold the audio and cruise modules) have been kicking my ass lol I can't seem to locate them with the screwdriver, and if I do I simply can't tell if the driver is engaging them or not. I'm almost at the point of taking the T30s out, pulling the airbag, then taking the whole damn wheel off so I can get at those 2 screws on the bench lol 😆 The theory is that if I can get the left side blank out, the wiring for the audio controller should already be there ready to go, so I should be able to do the job by pulling 1 screw, and wriggling the blank out from behind the airbag cover, plug the controller in, and wriggling it back into position but that screw.... I've even tried using a borescope to try and see what I'm doing, but still no luck 🤣

@@YouNameItGaming yeah honestly those back screws took majority of my time. Getting them to screw back was even worse. I had the same issue. Then I forgot reconnect the horn but luckily that did not require those screws to be removed.

I purchased used outlander 2009 it is showing sign of cruise but there is no button of cruise control on steering wheels from where i can get that origional steering wherl or controls ?

Some older models would come from factory with cruise button but not the actual feature. It cuts down production cost. Will likely need to be upgraded
