The selection of a king is done by the Ifa Oracle. The names of all the possible choices will be presented to Ifa, and Ifa will select one as the best choice. The older brothers cannot go against what Ifa select because it's a divine process that has been institutionalized from days of old. However, these days we have found some royal houses not following Ifa recommendation. This often do not end well for the people of such kingdom. You can see how things are upside down across the land.
