Aside from their augmentations, the S-III's differed from their predecessors in one very key way: Motivation. The III's were conscripted from vengeful war orphans, unlike the II's who grew up in a time of relative peace. Correction, I was about 15-16 years old when I came up with fiber optic pass through for camouflage and effectively panels on air craft using it, 21 years ago. At that time it was very new and glass. First learned of the technology by Descent game still but later sea floor cable application. Cool to see it more thoroughly established here. Otherwise this armor seems like polished production ODST armor. My 9 years old idea was rotating kinetic armor system to stop projectiles by simply changing kinetic direction removing potency.

LOL. I'm somewhat honoured you went to Forerunner before our human-centric concept.

I think Spi armor would been good direction for the odst's getting their own style of power armor. Saw few good imagines of mark III or 3rd generation spi armor specifically created for odsts rather than spartans.

👍 Awesome vid. P.S. I called it in another video of yours of you being an engineer. Not that it isn't obvious, Your knowledge is informative and presentation concise, it's like you're a lecturer on KZbin or demonstrating/pitching an idea to a contractor. I've dabbled in Software Engineering myself In HE. Not for me. Judging by the accent, South West England? Maybe South Wales. Devon or Cornwall would be my guess.

This armor basically explains RvB’s Project Freelancer, especially the unique look, the lack of shields, and the semi-force-amplifying gauntlets.

That was awesome! Would you be able to do something similar for some Spartan-IV armor sets? I know there are a ton of variants, but maybe address the most-described ones? These are incredibly educational and I really enjoy the technical breakdown

I would love an mixed-armor spartan team that's more than Halo: Reach. SPI Spartan-IIIs could do the covert/sabotage tasks as a support attachment before the Mjolnir-equipped Spartans roll in.

In the year 2560 in halo infinite times shouldn’t they be able to give some spi armour on regular marines?

Or exo skeletons like this in Cod advanced Warfare.
@Ilyas-ty6cy3 жыл бұрын
Oh no, not that unnecessary fancy and lacky protection gear from that cod game. Seriously though if exoskeleton already possible for military use, they should make exoskeleton with full covered armor just like Halo ODST or SPI gear, if they really want them not die too easy while carry their overprice gear all over their body in the battle.

Idea from Vincent Bedard: I wish there was a Stealth centered Halo spin off inspired by Splinter Cell where you play as a Spartan III in SPI armor. Brilliant Idea, you should send bungie or 343 or whoever is in charge now a line. The store and direction of the story could write itself and have the player die at the end in a last ditch to finish his mission to fit with the Spartan III role. Have the player switching from stealth or energy shield like Tribes/Crysis did and having to make the best use of the armor with a energy level ticking down till it deactivates would add a feeling of always being in a crunch for time. Hell make them get energy shield halfway through the game so they have time to learn the stealth portion.

Adding theoretical & bleeding edge technology & engineering to Halo is what I need. 😍 Edited: This just pop in my head as you mention the domain in the end. Could you do a video how paranormal activity in our world could be in fact the Domain? Such as an example seeing ghosts are merely imprint glitches or something? Would be interesting to see your take on it using quantum mechanics & the 11 dimension mathematical theory.

I always thought Spartan IIIs were superior to Spartan IIs. Their augmentations were far less invasive due to the fact that they were chemical and they had refined the process to the point of a 0% mortality rate by the time Gamma Company came around in Ghosts of Onyx. They were just as strong as Spartan IIs (though the only time you ever really got to see this was in Reach due to the fact that Noble team had received MJOLNIR armor, you'd be forgiven for thinking they were weaker due to the fact that you almost always see Spartan IIs in MJOLNIR armor which has a far greater strength multiplying effect than SPI.) So if you were to put a Spartan II and III together in the same room with no armor or the same armor they would be just as fast and strong as eachother. The only reason anyone considers IIIs to be inferior is because the majority of them never received MJOLNIR. Combine this with the fact that they put far greater emphasis on training the IIIs to be superior tactical thinkers in order to compensate for their lack of top-tier equipment and you have soldiers that are all masters of battlefield tactics on an individual and group level. Not only this but many Spartan IIIs also seemed to be trained in a wide variety of technical skills like Noble 6 being a pilot in the top secret SABRE program and Kat's superior cyber warfare skills. The most obvious advantage over the IIs would be that there's more of them. The final advantage they have over Spartan IIs in my opinion, and one of the most important, is that they're not complete emotionally suppressed automatons. Spartan IIs are practically fleshy robots that almost never display any kind of emotion, even to eachother a lot of the time even though they consider their team members to be their family. Spartan IIIs on the other hand seem to be a much more close-knit group, with all members of a company considering eachother family instead of just the fireteams they got paired up with. Not only this but the increased empathy they have for eachother and other fellow humans could potentially give them a well of strength to draw from in times of desperation and could possibly turn them into far more savage combatants than even the Spartan IIs. All that being said, I'd take a company of Spartan IIIs in SPI armor over a fireteam of Spartan IIs in MJOLNIR Mk VI any day. Spartan IIIs don't get enough love and get a reputation for being inferior due to the fact that they were intended to be sent on suicide missions. If they had been deployed in the same manner that the IIs had then they would have got the love they deserved, not to mention they probably could've had a more impressive service record.
@vashonramnauth23524 жыл бұрын
I agree 100% with you and I think if SPI armor was made to be just as good if not better due to the camouflage systems which MJOLNIR lacked, many people wouldn't think so lowly of them and maybe would even consider them their favorite generation of Spartans. I also thought they should of made specific versions of the SPI armor for ODST's and marines and one made just for Spartan IIIs so the gap between MJOLNIR and SPI could be closed or at least be made a lot smaller but because of time constraints and budget limits, this wasn't possible. It sucks these warriors get disrespected so much.
