The entire video and the composures you reverse engineered were fantastic, but the connection you made to Halo 4's theme absolutely blew my mind. I was baffled back then by their decision not to include familiar tracks in Halo 4 outside of little cameo bits, but in the back of my mind there was something about that track that fit even though it wasn't the classic Halo theme - and you just explained that decades long mystery for me. It seems like the artists for 4 and Infinite understood what Marty was doing, but modified it to make it "flow smoother?" Just my theory.

Yes, I actually agree with you that a man should be driven mad with artistic passion to create something, but he still needs to make money and survive. If he has a noble patron who wants him to do it, fine, but we don't live in 15th Century Florence. Bungie made Halo at least partially so they could get paid for their vision. The passion just outweighed the desire to cut corners or create a product that was cookie-cutter. They were very aware however, that they were making something to sell.

Installation 00. Your work has inspired me to look more in detail of what the halo’s can be along with there music. There Dorian’s to be exact and the question of; “what if the halo’s had a persona?” A persona described in one word. I have assign a word to each Dorian, for an example: Installation 01 Beta; Dorian A could mean Announcement. When the day came, it was the first to announce the death and rebirth of the galaxy. Installation 02 Epsilon; Dorian G Could mean Guilt. Epsilon in the final moments felt great shame or “guilt” to light the rings due to its duty of the mantle but Epsilon knew that it must be done. Installation 03 Gamma; Dorian F# Could mean Forward. Gamma mourned the past, the empire which created it, but knows that it must keep moving forward and look onwards towards the future. Because that is where the hopes lie. Installation 04 Alpha; Dorian E could mean Eminence. Alpha realized its importance to the cause and embraced its purpose. It’s feelings, ecstatic when the day arrives. Installation 05 Delta; Dorian D could mean Death. When the day arrived, death was all it could see and was despondent. It now understood why this day would be heavy. Over the next few hundred years it grew more stoically, feeling responsible for its purpose. Installation 06 Eta; Dorian C# Could mean Commission. As the last halo to be recently built. Eta would mourned its creators the most for the next 100,000 years, knowing there was no other option. Only to light the rings and save the galaxy. Eta’s first and last commission by its creators. Installation 07 Zeta; Dorian B Could mean Birthday. Zeta awaited the day for many years and would celebrate the day every system cycle. Singing in honor of those who were lost, both to the flood and the array. Remembering everyday of the why’s and how’s of its creators. Protecting their secrets until their return. Each word is assigned depending on how each song for the rings is played out . I’m open to ideas of what potential this could hold.

I'd love to have each ring have its own theme to allow for each ring to stand out on its own, and having each ring's theme being the exact same, just in a different key, helps bind the rings together in the array that they are. But if they are ever added into a game, the main theme in E Dorian should also be there as well to help bind the game into the series much like each ring's theme binds the rings together in the array.

Bro, what in the name of the "Great Journey" did you just do to my brain?! I literally, and I do mean literally, listened to this theme on a consistent daily basis, multiple times on occasion. Each time it plays, I get transported back to that Christmas morning, unwrapping the original Xbox bundle pack and, within five games, one of which being Halo. Somehow, this game had eluded me; that was the very first time I witnessed it, marveling at the game's cover. I put it in immediately, hit with a percussion intro and the Bungie logo with the classic, "aaaaahhhhh." And then, there she was, Installation 04, as we would come to know it. As the ring appeared on the screen, emerging from the darkness of space like a ghostly apparition of an ancient tomb or relic long since forgotten. Yet, the universe still sings its praises in the form of a theme of somber sadness with a hint of optimism that may bring about its salvation and be reclaimed by its makers' descendants once more. And yet, somehow I missed this entirely!

I personally am of the mind that the actual Halo theme should be in every game no matter where and when you use it. However, I am somebody who’s not opposed to the idea that you don’t actually have to use it for something like the main menu. Absolutely each Halo needs it own theme! It’s criminal to me that barely anyone seems to realize that this was supposed to be the case, and how each theme should be in a different key. I’ve actually made a basic version of a theme for Kappa Halo/Installation 06 in C Dorian. I was super worried that 343 didn’t get this pattern, but it turns out they did because if you listen to Zeta Halo from the OST most the song after the main theme changes key to B Dorian/A Major, which actually fits the key pattern set up by Alpha and Delta halo!

Can you do a video on the visual evolution of female Spartan armor? From how it doesn't look any different from male armor, to being specifically designed for the curves of it's wearer?
@Chrisspru4 күн бұрын
the techsuit and plating have no majorly anatomicaly different design, as humans are humans. the plating is unisex, just resized. only the chest plate and pelvic belt have constructiin differences, as to better fit the shoulder to ribcage scaling difference, acomodate breasts beneath the plating, adress the different hip height to width ratio and account for the hip and knee angle. else things like gloves, boots and helmets are just different sizes of the same pattern. spartans all being athletic builds, and armor hiding body details, the sexual dimorphism between spartans is obfuscated to a large degree in armor. as is true for how modern fitted combat gear or fitted medieval armor can obfuscate the wearers gender for athletic wearers. armored spartans all being above tegular human size, trained in tactical movement and often not speaking, makes it difficult for regular personel to correctly asign the gender of an armored spartan. only the very thinly layered and low coverage gen2 suits make it easier.
@RayHardman75674 күн бұрын
@Chrisspru that's all well and good, but when Spartan II's first got the armor, I could only tell the difference by looking at the attachments, not the overall armour cause it looked the same. But the newest armor, worn by fire team Osiris, looks custom built for each Spartan. Vale's especially.
@Chrisspru3 күн бұрын
@RayHardman7567 thats why i mentioned the thinner and less plate covered gen2 as the armor that is more easily discerned. gen3 is more unisex again. all mjolnir was custom fitted, but the small difference in male and female proportion tends to get lost in the angular bulk of early mark 4

The fandom already butchered halos music theory by demanding that the halo theme should be the menu theme of halo 5, despite the fact that you dont actually fight on any of the rings during the campaign. And 343 butchered halos music theory by not having the theme in spartan strike, where you spend half of the campaign fighting on gamma halo. All the themes basically have no meaning anymore so this is a pointless discussion tbh...
