Thank you all so much for your thoughtful and encouraging words regarding the boiler situation in yesterday's episode! We really appreciate all the suggestions and feedback you’ve shared, and we’re taking them to heart as we continue to make improvements aboard Yabá. Your support means the world to us, and it’s so great to have such an engaged and caring community. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this adventure together! Much love, Ben & MP

I knew that your wiring was flawless.... if you ever open up one of those circuit breakers you would see it's amazing how they actually work and why they can fail. They also get tired over time so having a few backups on board is a great idea! As usual it's always a joy to see you figure things out. I am super proud of you MP!!! Happy Wednesday friends!!!

One tip Ben, walk against the opposing traffice, not on the side with your back to vehicles.
@Birkguitars5 сағат бұрын
One small qualification. Be aware of visibility around bends. I live in Cumbria in the UK and we have lots of local roads without separation of vehicles and pedestrians and I take the view that I walk on the side of the road where I can be seen. So we drive on the left hence I generally walk on the right except when approaching a bend which goes to my right. That will hide me from oncoming traffic so I switch to the left. Staying on the right increases the risk that I might be mid bend when a car approaches forcing it either to brake very hard (and perhaps too late) or veering suddenly in to the middle of the road and potentially head on to traffic coming the other way. So the principle of facing the traffic is right but with a few exceptions.

“What does everyone else have that Yaba doesn’t have?” A LADDER !😁 You two need to remember you’re already living your dream, but dreams don’t always work on a schedule. Don’t ever feel like you’re somehow letting us down either. Every Sunday morning I get up make some breakfasts and sit down to visit with my friends Ben and MP, and until Christmas I get to visit everyday. How could I be disappointed? Be happy, and if it takes an extra day so be it. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Dave

I do think you are putting overdue pressure on yourselves. Ben's injury has changed the game and your goals ought to be reassessed in the light of it. Getting your list done for Christmas was a target and not a critical operation, so step back calm down and do what you can but most of all enjoy it. Once that happens you will be surprised at the progress. The very best of luck to all of you and a very Merry Christmas!
@mojo13274 сағат бұрын
Hi, your shower doesn't have a pump, it just puts out the water that the pressure puts in, so both heads should only use the same amount of water - don't be afraid to use the big showerhead if it feels better. If you want to check, run the small showerhead into a bucket for 30 seconds, mark the level, empty and do the same with the big head. The levels should be the same if not slightly less water with the big head because the water pressure lowers as you gain height.

Escuchar a quienes conocen!

MP,Ben, keep this in mind, my family owned diesel trucks and my Dad was a really good common sense mechanic , driver and designer of big rig trailers, he designed an independent suspension for trailers That would allow bigger pay loads, cause you could drop the trailers down as there were no axles. Anyway he always told my brother and I, when there was any kind of problem You Always start at the simplest things that could go wrong. That's why yesterday I suggested you check the breakers. Glad you got it figured out. Tell Ben to make a sinkaflex finger nail and get back to work. 😂. Be safe stay healthy enjoy your afternoon

You have now seen Mr. Murphy in action..... "If anything can fail.. It will at the worst moment" ............ You need to start your SPARES list. Put the same type of items in the same area. Nuts, bolts, screws, washers in one spot. Breakers , terminals, wire, connectors in another......... Put the spare breakers in and use the one that you know works in a zip-lock bag and the spare in the breaker box. Starting in the engine room you have plenty of wall space to put cabinets and organize the replacement parts. Thinking about what you need and where to put it starts now. It is a slowly evolving process. Even ODD, Delos and Parlay have been caught short at times and look how long they have been at it. ......................... enjoy

MP&Ben!

It sounds like you're drawing too many amps for your service. You should try a couple of solar water panels. I worked for Solaron out of Oklahoma City in the 80s, we installed several of these systems. Verry efficient. You just need a large well insulated storage tank. You will never run out of hot water, and it won't tax your batteries!

Two singles are not the same as a double. The double disconnects all wires on overload. Two singles will only disconnect one wire, possibly leaving the whole circuit live. If one trips, do not touch anything on thst circuit until you have opened the second switch as well.
@jfv653 сағат бұрын
Heaters always draw a LOT of amperes. Maybe that automatic circuit breaker is just too SMALL for that amperage?
@hardhead5700Сағат бұрын
Hopefully you found a way to tie the two switches you manipulate off and on together in case one side trips and the other side stays hot for safety reasons. I've seen this done numerous times but the two switches are mechanically tied together with a dedicated device connected to them both so both are off or on.

I'm still not convinced about the boiler installation. If I have the right boiler "Sigmar Water Heater UX Compact Inox" then In the installation section it does mention " The water heater can be mounted horizontally to a deckhead (ceiling) as long as the entry and exit water connection are inverted. Then it warns that this type of installation (IS NOT ADVISABLE) because the thermal advantage of the tank's disaxial position is lost and (COULD PROVOKE PROBLEMS) during installation and subsequent maintenance of water heater because entry and exit water connections have to be inverted. Just saying. Be sure and not sorry. Take care
