Yep, I am looking for a similar system for my home in Florida. Now they have the Powerwall extender so you can save a few grand or so with that. Want to stay under 10kW so insurance companies don't complain. The 27kWh on the Powerwalls should last the night in a power outage on a newer 3k home. Unlike CA, it rains quite a bit more in FL and need a good installer. There are a few, just have to get recommendations and see their work.

Very clean install. It looks like the PW3 is easier to install. We have PW2 and Tesla did our install and they were here for 2 days. And a number of additional connection units and boxes were necessary.

Question; will the Tesla power walls allow for an inverter to be installed to facilitate a whole house generator? I'm seeing that the power walls don't want to play with 3rd party inverters that would facilitate such a set up.

I have 28 panels and 2 powerwall 3. Tesla made 4 strings (9, 9, 6, 4) and connected all 4 strings to one powerwall. Is it more efficient to have 2 strings on each powerwall (9+6) and (9+4)? How much efficiency am I losing with all strings connected to one Powerwall 3?

@@viadharmawheel it doesn't. What ct is doing is converting the battery DC to AC and running it through the service panel.
