Welcome. The wire literally just goes through the outside of the house with no electrical box. You can buy those vinyl mounting blocks at lowes or depot or even amazon like this one was mounted on.

Will the lights work without WiFi? I understand that the camera needs WiFi & sync box, but will the lights work independently when WiFi is off?

Customer support says it has to have WiFi to light up, so I’m returning it and will get something else.

No siren but you will get a blink alert through the app. You don’t need subscription if you have the sync module otherwise you will

Having an issue with the light turning on during detected motion. System is armed. If I select light on in the settings it does turn on. But once it times out, motion doesn’t activate it again. I’m seeing the same comments in Amazon chats with no resolution. Have you had this issue?

What’s your re trigger time set to?

@@theguyofalltrades I’ve got motion sensitivity at 5 and retrigger time at 36 seconds.

I’m set a sensitivity 4, record all motion, 60s clip length, 60s retrigger, and 5 minute timeout. Seems to work well for me

Does the camera still need batteries

Nope not this one. They make a totally wireless version that’s battery powered but it’s not as bright as the wired version

Yup. In the blink app you can. There’s quite a few settings for motion and recording too
