Thanks for you video! I just received mine today but it seems that the lash for the arneses extension is too short … is there a way to extended more? I saw there’s some lash under the seat in a black bag but I don’t know for what it is…
@CarSeatSite2 жыл бұрын
Hi Trinidad. The straps in the black bag are for installing the carseat with lower anchor connectors (LATCH). Just leave them there-this seat is designed to be installed with the seat belt. If the harness adjuster strap (that strap where your child's feet are) is still too short after you've tried pulling it, you can try removing the padding inside the seat to see if that helps. It depends on the size of your child, though. If your child is large enough, they may not need the extra padding to help fit (and it has to be take out at 20 lbs./9.1kg). If you're still having problems, try lifting the headrest all the way up and putting it back down. Sometimes carseats need to be "reset".

@@CarSeatSite thank you so much for your quick answer! I’m expecting my baby for June but I received the car seat today and thought that it might be too short but maybe it’s normal and will not need more 😅 thanks!

I just bought this car seat but I don’t know about a rebound bar... how do I know if mine has it? And why should I use it?
@CarSeatSite3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ana. The anti-rebound bar would have come in the box with the carseat. You can buy it separately for $54.99: amzn.to/3t1yIMb. The anti-rebound bar keeps the carseat from bouncing up and back into the vehicle seat back as a response to a crash, after the initial crash. It's all a way of mitigating crash energy away from the child. Britax actually has a good explanation here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKDKg61ooqlji9U.

Does that bad comes with the car seat or you have to order it ?
@CarSeatSite2 жыл бұрын
Hi Barbara. It depends. Some models of the seat come with the anti-rebound bar and some don’t. You can also order the ARB separately: amzn.to/3Es40Sf

We just received our carseat that came with the rebound bar. I have a 2000 honda accord and my 3 yr. Old is 40 inches and probably 45lbs my wife wants him rear facing. Do u have any suggestions?
@CarSeatSite3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim. Great job keeping your 3 yr old rear-facing! You might have more room for the front passengers if you install it in the center seat; however, for a 3 yr old, it can be placed pretty upright if you want it in an outside position.
@Thamac153 жыл бұрын
How do you get it to fit in that backseat without pushing the front seat all the way up? Seems too big to have a passenger sit comfortably.
@CarSeatSite3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Sorry to have missed your comment! The anti-rebound bar only adds about 1-2" of front-to-back space, so unless your vehicle has very limited back seat space (and some of the biggest SUVs do!), there shouldn't be a problem having it fit.

If the anti rebound bar prevents the base from laying flat on the vehicle seat can you recline the vehicle seat back?
@CarSeatSite3 жыл бұрын
Hi Emily. I would try moving the One4Life back on the vehicle seat first. It can have up to 3" of overhang off the vehicle seat, though it does give you less legroom up in the front seats. If that doesn't solve the issue and let the carseat base sit flat, then look in your vehicle owner's manual and see if it says anything about reclining the vehicle seat back. It may have rules about how far back it can be reclined for carseats. If the vehicle seat is too reclined, it kind of defeats the purpose of having the anti-rebound bar on, because the carseat will have to travel farther to reach the seat back before making contact in a crash. We want the ARB to be in contact with the seat back in order to dissipate the crash forces.
@sarahlarson76312 жыл бұрын
do you NEED the anti-rebound bar? if I use it I can't put my baby mirror on the headrest and be able to see my kid from the driver's seat.
@CarSeatSite2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah. No, the ARB is optional. But you paid extra to have it and it's a safety feature vs. the mirror, which is a distraction and potential projectile in a crash. I would suggest that if you need the mirror, attach it to an adjacent headrest and angle it so you can see your child, if you are able.
