I have that same setup and it’s super dangerous for puddles went threw one on a rainy day instant misfire and it shut off for like 3 days till after I changed the oil, dried off the distributor, and for safety pulling the spark plugs out and turning it over a couple times it wasn’t fun getting through that situation

@@3GRacing11 that’s good I bought mine as a daily as it was older and cheaper I took the piece of leading from the sensors to the bottom and it’s a lot more safe that way haven’t noticed much of a power difference still feels the same

I got a question to those who know more than me. I just got a gen 3 eclipse, got no experience besides what I fix myself. I got a p0107 code, figured it’d be a vacuum leak. Hoses are fine, swapped spark plugs, coil plugs, valve covers, intake manifold gaskets, throttle body gasket plus the two gaskets in the back of the manifold. Did all this because car felt like it missed fired a lot/turned off on me so I might as well replacement everything under manifold to prevent me from going back and redoing everything for just one thing. Anyways, car fired up and ran better than before so I guess I passed the KZbin mechanic exam, but the error code is sti there p0107. I don’t wanna pay $140 for an original, AutoZone one gave me p1400 and p0107 so I returned that one. I’m really starting to think the issue might be the “cold” air intake as it rest where the box of the original should be. It receives all the hot as hell air coming from the fans/engine bay. Would hot air cause the code since hot air is less dense than cold air therefore causing the code? Idk I need help. I don’t have the original air intake box or tubing. I’d rather ask before I put my hands on it again lol. Even though the hardest jobs were completed today (6/7 hours 🤦‍♂️ lol)
