The deer manikins or other animal manikins in different shapes are just using the same techniques as life casting but with the dead animals in place of human body. But when it comes to eyes/ other flexible organs , it seems a little more tricky to get the different colors of the eye you would only obtain the shape of the eye? (and wouldn't the molding material change the shape of the eye possible ?)

Thanks. What is the benefit of doing an eye set this way over using a form with a preset eye? Do you ever use preset eye forms? Thanks for your help

curious, i get how to do this but do you have a video on how to make the different eyes for different animals because i am still confused on how the eyes are casted. It seems your starting point is a deer manikins with epoxy resin eyes. But how did they create the eyes from scratch ?

You can use something called critter clay from a taxidermy supply store.
