Installing a Digital Dash in My Honda Civic

In this video we look at the Aim MXS Datalogger dash, and get it installed into my civic! This dash can read all the factory ECU signals, pull information off the body harness, and run aftermarket sensors for monitoring just about anything imaginable! We put on Oil pressure, Oil Temperature, GPS position, and tire temperature sensors! Real cool stuff!

The quality of harness you got because you had AIM do it is amazing. Must feel good having extra peace of mind. Seen so many videos of builds making a harness then going back in to fix some bad wiring or lack of grommets cutting wires through firewalls.. ie fasterproms, boostedbois, cleetusmcfarland, motionautotv, bisforbuild, grindhardplumbingcompany, mightycarmods (when they attempt a haltech on their own), etc. etc...

I remembered the episode when this guy wanted to restore this car and just wanted it to be a proper looking EK9 type r, he also mentioned that he wanted to do a 5 lug and that's about it. Now, assuming everyone told him "Go faster, you'll be quicker at the lap they said".. Now with all these mods and custom fabrications that Ek9 with B16B OEM looking civic project is thrown out the Window.. Sad really..

sheet metal is fine...shiny surfaces howerver, are no fun. Should at least paint it to keep reflections out of your eyes if the sun or light source is behind/to the side. Personally, I love the look of simple analog gauges...Id have the AIM elsewhere and have most of the added sensors in a cluster of analog gauges (with digital signals obviously). Still, this Civic is a pristine example of how to build one..even without a K swap, the styling is simple but effective and the cars performance oriented. All its goodies are mostly unseen by the public, which is how i build most of my car! Caint wait to see this thing on the track!

Save your time with iPad dash command. Don’t need a cluster anymore, and had everything you need to know about your car for free. Just plug into the OBD port
