As I own a Porter Cable Door Installer Kit (Router/Porta Plane/Jigs in a metal case) as well as a Shaper Origin, I’ll state I’m qualified on commenting on this. First let’s be accurate, the setup shown int he video isn’t $5k, it’s a bit over $3k. The hinge being installed isn’t a standard door hinge (my PC kit wouldn’t work on it) it’s a full inset hidden hinge. I could make a jig for this type of hinge, on the other hand if you are doing this type of work, the SO will do this hinge and countless others without needing individual jigs. It’s all context, did you watch the whole video?

While you don't need it, the TE 340 3D is already $200+ per piece. So many models for different weight requirements, it's just easier to use Origin. Quibbling over the price of the system at this point is hrm.
