Great video! I'm about to start this endeavor this weekend. I appreciate the insights ( like unscrewing the exciters, I thought there was only the 3M tape) Thanks again and appreciate all the effort you put into your kits.

I notice you don't do any sort of grounding wire / braid through the metal parts as the MJR guide recommends, any reason for that? Also, don't real knockers usually use a steel plate instead of against the wood? Just trying to figure out some planning for a future upgrade.

I find that the knocker sounds a lot better going directly against the wood. As for the grounding wire, it isn't needed for my setup.

@@clevelandsoftwaredesignto clarify, are you saying that your product doesn’t require the braided ground, or because your computer is not inside the cabinet it doesn’t require the braided ground since only a usb cable enters the cabinet or something else? I have the large builders kit and it is fantastic.

@@acydl braided ground is not needed with my kit.

I keep hearing strange garbled speaking/noises here and there? Like @21:31 and 25:17? It's creepy! Are you using AI To clean up your audio or something?
@clevelandsoftwaredesign2 ай бұрын
Not sure, I couldn't actually hear them on my end when I played it back at those points

@@clevelandsoftwaredesign This is the sound of the drill, being digitized and then played back through youtube. It creates a distortion that gets normalized to human speech levels of volume which is why people perceive it as a voice being garbled.

Definitely the drill but does sound like backwards speech.

It's an installation video for a Virtual Pinball kit that simulates pinball in a cabinet. If you are interested, some searches you can do are "mjrnet build guide" VPX and "pinup popper baller installer."
