What year is your bmw bro? And where did your vacuum wire go? I have a 2014 328i and I wanna get this but I don’t know where the vacuum wire goes.

@sharp3110 , Hi bro. Mine was a 2014 model, and I didn't have a vacuum part, but you can either tie it up or put a rubber nipple on the end.

I just installed mine just 10 minutes ago. What I did different with the top cover, I put the cover over the back plate and put the screws in, it holds it in much better than the way you did it. Because the 4 screws you have in are not doing anything the way you have done it.

Well done. That's great you did it a different way. It's all learning. The screws ain't the best that comes with it though. But I haven't had any problems with mines.

Yeah the shape of the cover is a bit off too, has to bend the flappy things on the side to get them to screw in which was a major pain in the ass, but either way it looks pretty stable and sounds great still

I installed mine and I've been experiencing mixture codes I changed my throttle body I changed my hose for venturi and breather valve and now I'm going to change my Map sensor I'm not sure what the code is

That's great. Are the codes still popping up or not? Hopefully, they would have gone. Some people experience the codes, and others don't. Hopefully, you have sorted everything👍🏾

Did yours rev up to 2k rpm after you start it on cold start mine has been doing that and idk why

It’s because you need the vacuum line and it doesn’t do it as much just a little but then I got the tune and now it doesn’t do it

did you ever have to upgrade your mass air flow sensor after installing this new intake? im getting fault codes 118001 mixture control: mixture too lean

No, I didn't. It worked fine 👌🏾. That's strange. I wonder why. Try cleaning around the sensor and the area where it sits

@@joshuasherwain Weird thing but after I changed my ignition coils and spark plugs the fault code and engine light went away, not sure if its relevant but seemed to have fixed my issue.

where did you connect the vakiun?

My one didn't have a vacuum, so normally you can attach it to the rubber end that sometimes comes within the box or if they do have a tip on the intake where you can attach it then you are good to go.

It's practically the same. They may be a slight price difference.

No, it is best to fit the intake first, and then you can tune your car.

where did you put the vacuum hose at

Have you got the Kyostar induction kit as well? If so it doesn't come with a connection for the vacuum hose. So you can either plug it with a rubber or see if you can secure it so how to the intake tube. You may have a different model as I have a bmw 420i. Only the injen induction kit comes with the vacuum hose connection.

Yes it should work. They have the same setup.

The hose that you took off the stock one what did you plug it into because mine is just sitting there and my check engine light came on and it's not running right

Are you talking about the hose from the outside of the air box? If so that doesn't get disconnected. Also have you connected your mass air flow sensor?

@@joshuasherwain yes the one hose that disconnects from the outside of the original air box and yes I put the mass air flow sensor on the new intake just don't know where the other hose goes after I disconnected to from the old air box its just there because there is nothing to put it into on the new one

Hey bro i just installed mine and ive been having check engine light with code p0171 which is lean. But i cant find any leaks on my intake. Did you happen to have the same problem? Thanks

That's great bro. Never had no check engine lights. Have you double checked that everything is connected correctly. It's strange. It's normally a plug and play. No engine error code should come up.

Yeah i checked everything and it seems like everything is okay. Until i checked the maf sensor pipe. I think thats the reason why i have check engine light.

@@jobkim448 , nothing wasn't damaged in the process was it? Have you tried resetting it and see if it does anything? If not try and put back the original one and see if you still have the same problem. If not than. It may just need resetting but it shouldn't have any engine light at all.
