Call Gill at Offroad Elements, they will help you out!
Shocks: bit.ly/2Zr6I50
Leveling Kit: bit.ly/2ZxfC0U
Its finally time to get the Jeep Gladiator off the ground a little higher, and make more room for the 35s! A budget boost or leveling kit is a simple, affordable way to increase height for larger tires, or even just change the look of your Jeep.
I installed the Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit designed for the JT specifically. It retails for $99, and comes with the spacers, and bumpstop extensions for those who want to run a larger size tire.
Since i was in there, i decided to add a set of Teraflex Falcon 2.1 JT shocks. These retail at $698, and are a amazing shock for the money. They are very stable, and honestly i think they have helped with the factory "wandering steering". The factory shocks are valved very light.. which gives us a nice ride, however leads to body sway, "head bobbing", and some negative handling issues.
I noticed the Falcons seem a little stiff during low speed bumps, but overall i would rather have a shock that helps with the handling during high speeds and offroad.
Speaking of offroading, stay tuned for next weeks video where we test the Jeep out with the 35s, the leveling kit, and the new shocks!
Now.... for pricing... if you are interested in the leveling kit, or the shocks, or anything Jeep related, give Gill at Offroad Elements a call. Tell her Ben from JKGG sent you, and you'll be glad you called. (774) 826-9948
In the future, i will be adding a full lift kit. This is a great kit to start off with, however full kits can offer more offroad benefits. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to give the Gladiator a new look without breaking the bank, or someone who simply wants to step up one tire size and doesn't plan on any hardcore offroading.
Thanks for watching! And stay tuned for the next few videos!!
-Ben

Great vid, I’ve installed this kit a few times and a quick tip for that bump stop spacer is to drop the bolt and spacer into the hole, mark the bottom, take it out, thread the nut on to that point, and cut most of the excess off👍🏼

I’m running the 3.3’s on my JK, changed my whole perspective on my rig. I absolutely love them, and the adjustability really takes care of that harshness you were talking about at lower speeds. Granted it helps when you know the terrain ahead. Really looking forward to what’s in store for your Gladiator.

Did the 1.5” kit on my new ‘23 Willys, which in stock condition had the stance of a stink bug. The leveling kit in full 1.5” did the job, sits nice & level and retains the stock ride. To get the caster back I added the liver control arms from the Mopar 2” lift. I also added Teraflex’s 2” shock travel kit, which restores the stock shock travel & a bit more. All works great. Next may be those Falcons!

I wonder why they call it the Carolina Squat. People out here in San Diego started that look back in the early 90’s, because there are so many deserts and places to off/road/prerunner. Most people could only afford to do front end long travel and coil overs($4-8k) on their truck and would do the rear when they were able to save up another $4K.

Question: Is that a torque wrench that you are using? Also, would you swap out the rear springs on the Max Tow with the Rubi’s? There’s a lot of differing opinions on this. Didn't you find the 2.1 shocks limit your uptravel due to the extra length of the shock body? I know you can install a bump stop but it kinda defeats the purpose of having a high articulation vehicle. The 3.1 or 3.3 is apparently a better choice because some of the shock body is moved outboard which allows for more travel. Let me know ?

Not too much around here. Out west a few trails in George Washington National forest. And then Rausch creek and AOAa in PA
