Very helpful. I too found the instructions not lining up perfectly with what the kit has. I wired it just as you did, then found your video affirming what I did. Thanks!

great video for Coleman Mach 8 Low Profile A/C - not many vids show this install on a low pro. the biggest problem i had was my roof is not walkable, so i was crawling around to distribute weight. probably would've taken me half the time if i could just stand there and do it! thanks!

Got it installed this morning.... had to go get terminals to squeeze on the black wire, and the confusion on the red / orange wire where the PTCR was, could have been much better in the instructions. Your coverage kept me on track, really appreciate it...thanks again!

Good video. Question? At about 5 to 6.5 minutes into the video you have a loose brown wire at the top of the wire junction box. Then at about 6.37 minutes the brown wire disappears. What did you do with the loose brown wire?
@deltabravo12573 жыл бұрын
This was done about a year and a half ago, so I am not sure where the brown wire goes.

Looking at the "before" wiring in the video, the brown wire was connected to the PUR (purple) block.

Very good video. I just finished my install. Any worry about the rain and water hitting it because it's under the fan? I am considering relocating it to a covered location. What do you think?
@deltabravo12572 жыл бұрын
It's a weather tight box, so it won't hurt it if it gets wet. There's very little space to put one in a Mach 8 so I'm not sure where else it will fit.

My question is what do you do with the red and yellow wires that came from the start capacitor and were I plugged? Leave them unplugged? If so, it looks like no wires are connected to the start capacitor post install?
@deltabravo12578 ай бұрын
It's been several years ago that I installed this unit. I don't remember if there were any wires left connected to the start capacitor or not.

Did you try to power your AC via your 2200i generator without the softstart? Is this AC unit loud (inside and out) and did the addition of the softstart result in a reduction of noise during operation? Thank you

Yes. It worked most of the time, but not always.

Is there a better 9000btu ac out there that can be run off Honda 2200 generator?

I run my 13,500 btu A/C via my EU2200i

You running the ac off a portable gen or the built in onan?
@deltabravo12573 жыл бұрын
On this RV, I only use a portable generator because it doesn’t have an onboard generator.
