Great video. I hit in a buck deer with my 0F explorer and so now I have to change the front bumper. Now I know exactly how to do it.... I'll get it done in a day.

I use a clamp on the strut compressor rods. Just a tip so you don't have a rod in the way. I've done so much to my 02 explorer. I love it though. In the process of removing my bumper for a bondo repair and paint job. Thank you for the informative video. KZbin has made me a mechanic, body work specialist, etc.

You should go with the raptor liner Idea and you shouldnt put hood scoops. I have an 04 ford explorer and im slowly making it an offroad rig and I put a roof rack on it from cabela's, wasnt too much and it is the perfect size for it. I also put a 12 inch LED light bar from Amazon in the lower front grill, it looks and works great. I have the 4.6L V8 so im doing some engine stuff too it soon which is something you could look into for the 4.0 V6. Another thing is tires, Explorers already sit a bit off the ground and the fender flares will allow bigger rims and tires so you should look into them. Best prices ive found are on tire rack, good on a budget and their a good quality. I would seriously look into the raptor liner Idea and the roof rack, PLEASE dont do the hood scoops!!! The 3rd gen explorers look good without any body modifications if you just put some good rims and tires on them!!!!

I have an 05 explorer and i ordered a front bumper but i sat for a few months before i decided to put it on... when i finally opened the box they sent me a bumper that had the front fender flare attachments. Is there away to fill the holes on that bumper of i take them off or should i just purchase factory fender flares for the whole truck to match?

Sand the hood down a use black carbon fiber decal. I think it would look nice with your new bumper cover.

My brother slid in the ice and hit a pole. He wasn't injured but we need to get a new headlight and front bumper but behind one of the headlights another Plastic price broke and I have no idea what it is. Would you know?

Sorry to hear, glad everyone’s okay. I believe the plastic piece behind the headlight is called the header panel.

I think you should raptorliner the front bumper. Buy a kit and match the bedliner to the cars paint. It’s inexpensive.

Cool video! About how long does this take - to remove the bumper and also the total time to replace it?
@AbnormalGarage4 жыл бұрын
You could probably get it done in about an hour, as long as you have all the rivets and tools ready to go.

Why the hell would you replace the stock matching bumper with the ugly matte black bumper
@AbnormalGarage4 жыл бұрын
The stock bumper was replaced with a new non-painted bumper since the stock one was damaged, and it was cheaper/easier to replace than to repair. I plan on having the whole Explorer either vinyl wrapped or painted in the future, so I saw no need in having it painted at this time.

@@AbnormalGarage that makes sense. I thought you preferred the black bumper
