I am finally getting to do an update on my drip tape irrigation system. GrowHoss and ebay were used to source all my irrigation parts. I used 4 250 gallon water totes to provide 3 days of water reserve.

Thanks. I been adjusting the setup and so far its been great. I have a water level float to shut off system just need time to get it installed. The float will turn off the pump once I have about 5 inchs of water in a tank. I also placed more drip tape than recommended which can affect the end of rows a bit. I am thinking on dividing the garden and either use a 2nd pump or a faucet timer with dual zones to increase GPM and PSI. Any questions feel free to send me a message.

I am always up to something. Today I was thinking into converting a truck into a dump bed but its $$ I don't have for that. I been looking into goose neck dump trailers and they are expensive for sure.

Cool video. I like watching videos like this, even though I would probably never do anything like this. I have a question. Why filter the water? I'm sure there's a reason. I'm just curious

The filter is to remove solids that can plug the emitters. If an emitter is plugged it will cause less water to get to that plant. I am not sure the size of the emitter but could be made of a couple pin size holes.

Looks like you've been pretty busy. What is the plans for all the produce, I guess you can't eat all of that.

I plan on giving crops to friends, family and selling some to recover part of the investment. The water melons that go bad will be relocated to range and used as targets lol.

This is nice, but I did this with battery powered timers to release the water. Much cheaper.

When you say battery powered timer are you talking about the faucet orbit ones? My first idea was to use gravity but the drip tape requires 4-8 PSI and at 3ft of water in my tanks I can provide only 1.3psi. The 1" line on the bottom works great to gravity feed the rows but I lose to much water that way.

nice...im in southern az and wanted to do something exactly like this when i finish the house. on the drip tape stuff is it easy to take out and reuse when u replant and till the ground every year? i would much rather have a system like this than a 4' prayer head deal.

I can not answer the question on reusing drip tape as its my first ever install. I am thinking on just leaving tape in ground and using my tractor to make the rows again.15mil tape is also way thicker as I have 1500ft of 15mil and 250ft of 8 mil. I think the soil will be moist enough to pull the tape out.

The panels are 100w Newpowa and have not made any real test measurements. I do know I have seen a bit over 10 Amps from both units combined so far.
