Excellent video, thank you. Any issues with adhesion? I’m worried about this separating over time. Also, do you recommend hitting spoiler with a heat source upon install to “activate” the adhesive?

Did you use the adhesion promoter in any way? After I watched your video, I totally forget I have the adhesion promoter. And I just install the spoiler as what you showed in the video. And now I am super nervous if I missed the important step. Will the spoiler just goes off someday. 😢

Yeah I put the adhesion primer on after cleaning the surface. It's suppose to help it stick better. If you give it a slight wiggle, does it feel sturdy? If so, I think you are okay

If it's not madre using the "dry carbon fiber" process, it won't hold up to the UV rays for long.

How has the spoiler finish and adhesive been holding? I ordered mine and it is supposed to arrive today, im just worried about longevity, also would the spoiler benefit from ceramic coating application or would it harm it? Im taking delivery of a new rwd long range model y (hopefully tomorrow if everything checks ok)

I can answer the question about the adhesive. I actually replaced this spoiler with another one so I had to take it off. I figured, I might as well test how strong it is and you can see in this video me trying to yank it off without success. Thanks! No gaps but you do have to be very careful when installing it. Adhesive is pretty strong. I haven't had any issues with it yet.

Is there an instruction for how long you keep the tape on? Can you drive right after installation?

That's good question! I don't remember the instructions said to wait a certain amount of time or not. Me personally, I'd install it and leave over night so the adhesive has time to fully stick.

@@Teslatainment just got the carbon fiber option and me personally, Im going to leave the tape on holding it down after the initial install for 24hrs even if I have to ride around with the tape still on 😂
